We are all rooting for him now but trust me. If we ever play against them in the future in the playoffs, which we will. I know once he goes off on us. We will hate him too. I think Kobe is a great guy. He works hard. You just gotta admire him for still playing okay with a broken finger. But of course I absolutely am rootig for the thunders cause Kobe and the lakers have won too many damn times. It's really annoying. LOL and go easy on rocket22.. (Quoting cuz I remember your post in the coach of the year thread about Durant and the Thunder...) I was specifically going to respond to that post to say there seems to be a bit of ANTI-"entitled-superstar-in-the-making" attitude going on toward the NBA now, worse than in other sports. I thought it'd maybe take another year or more for Durant to get it. But just like the rapid turnaround of the Thunder, Durant's already rapidly getting that sentiment. Of course if he plays the Rockets and lights us up we are will be rooting against him. But there are players you root against but can respect and not really hate. When we played against the Blazers I did not hate on Roy. Only guy I hated was flopping Pryzbilla. If Durant lights us up yes I will be rooting against him but after the series I still respect the guy since he plays hard, doesnt complain and is fun to watch. Go Durant. Another player you just can't hate on is Dwight.
did PointForward create another account? westbrook almost cost them game 3 by waiving off durant and shooting a brick late in the game. durant was asking for the ball, he was hot...i know westbrook played very good during the game but durant had taken over that 4th qtr, was feeling it, and quite frankly this is durants team...anywho they still won i enjoyed watching durant play in college and root for him now especially since he is an underdog...hes not a cry baby like chris paul, or smug like kobe, a dirty player ala kg, or cocky like lebron(who i like). not sure why anyone would dislike the guy i guess your an aggie...

Durant's near the top of my list of favorite players in the league right now. And I don't give a damn about the Longhorns either. He's a superb talent without all the douchebaggery of your Kobe's, Garnett's, Pierce's, Boozer's, etc. I don't understand all of you that are saying "oh, if we lost a playoff series to the Thunder you'd hate him too." That's a pretty ridiculous argument. If we had lost to the Blazers last year, I wouldn't like or dislike them any more than I did in the first place. They're a good young team that I respect, much like the Thunder. If the Rockets were to lose in the playoffs, I'd much rather it be against a team like that than the Jazz, Mavericks, or Celtics.
Once Durant wins and does well in the playoffs his number of haters will increase. He sells fouls extremely well.

All these Kobe only fans are childish. First they hated Lebron and the Cavs because they cannot accept Lebron is already a better player than their beloved kobe. Now they hated Durant because Durant shut down Kobe and won the game?

Man, some people start seeing rapist Kobe lose a game to a 21 year old kid that's humble and well mannered and they start hating him? I just don't understand people. Right now Durant is one of the best things going for the NBA.
Nothing to do with Kobe but just that Kobe fans cannot accept the fact another young player is about to overtake their idol, just like Lebron did. So they try to attack the player in a very childish way like the OP.
