there are some good elements on these jerseys but the designers didn't take it to the next level they stayed generic!
Whew...I thought they would have gone with red and gold and thus likely eliminating us from going back to our old color scheme. Any ways I like it. It's simple and I dig the color scheme. Sometimes Jersey's try to get too complex and look horrible.
They look much better up close - the original feed photos were terrible. That said, they do feel very generic. The "New Orleans" font is way too small and the neck line feels vacant for how big it is.
I like them. They reminded me of what a few jerseys looked like when their respective teams entered the NBA. Kind of like the Pelicans are seeking to erase the their history with the hornets and establish a new franchise. Check out the lettering, in particular: Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler
And to instill fear into the opposing team, anyone that steps into the Pelican's mouth on the floor gets eaten by it.
I like them. Compared to ours I really like them. And ten years from now they won't be in a hurry to change them... unlike ours. I do think the city name font could have been a bit larger, and maybe add the graphic shown in the jersey posted with the court design, but thankfully they followed the simpler is better philosophy and didn't feel the need to plaster the mascot name or cartoon on the front, or some weird combining of their colors.
I like the home, hate the away. Hate the court. Hate the over use of navy in the NBA. It's so boring. Purple or green would have been a better color for the city, but i get its using the state flag colors. Better they used navy primary instead of red since were red. Still, it feels so boring. Captures none of the excitement and vibe of that city.
