The assumption that teams in the West are better just because they are in the West is nonsense. Group comparisons don't apply to individual teams. Plus, as you state, the East will be improved. This season, I'm gonna pay more attention to the East instead of just focusing on 2 or 3 teams in that conference because there are more good storylines worth keeping up with. (Then again, as the season grinds on, I might revert back to form because the West is still more compelling).
