Yeah, he's like that guy at the local gym you never want to match up again, due to sweat, hyper-activity and offensive-fouls galore. Look, even now, Ben is pushing off.

I really don't like Golden State rebranding as San Francisco. Golden State was one of the most creative locale names in all of professional sports, and it gave them their own identity. I guess they're trying to tie themselves more to the Bay Area, and remove themselves from the Oakland persona now that they are moving into that swanky new arena, but I think they should still stay Golden State.

Also, I really like the campy feel the Ben Franklin logo brings. It almost has a Minor League appeal to it that's cool. A T-Shirt with just that logo would sell, I think.

Really hope that dont change it to San Francisco. Golden State just sounds perfect the way it is.

Switching to San Fran is inevitable. So far as municipal brands go, San Francisco is a glamor city with cachet up there with New York, Boston, LA, and Chicago. If I owned the team, I would change it today.

I don't see what's so great about using Golden State anyway. I imagine at the time, they didn't want to use SF while located in Oakland, and were hoping to capture the unaffiliated territories of California. But, as a kid I never even knew which state was the Golden State, and even now it sounds to me like a minor league name.
