I agree that the boss has every right to impose a dress code. The question is, Is the code a good one? I guess it's kind of subjective. Personally, I don't see why a coach of any sport needs to look like a business man.
Oh lord... That's like if an elderly woman dressed up in a mini skirt and a tank top. On a serious note though, the rules is meh... Coaches are paid handsomely, what's a collar gonna do to you? Nothing. Maybe now they'll look more professional. Any coach that complains about wearing a collar for 2 hours a game should quit.
Exactly. This should be a complete non-story. I'm surprised to see so many people freak out about what a dictator Stern must be for something so commonplace.
They're called "mock" turtlenecks for a reason - good of Stern to snuff this insult out before it gets too nasty.
I'm waiting for SVG, RA or someone to wear a dog collar on the bench. Cuban might do it for fun & grins. Hey, that's an idea. Dog collar night at TC!!!
That was a very cool thing to do. Each NBA coach should have permission to wear the team jersey once per season.
National Boarding school Association. Forget rampant flopping lets issue more rules on "decency" about arguing with refs and making coaches look good. And cave into FIBA's demands to test out new goaltending rules.
Yeah, now they have no time left to deal with flopping because they spent so much time carefully crafting this collars-must-be-worn rule.
