For those of you that downloaded the leak, make sure ya'll buy it. Effort like this should be rewarded. and I dont wanna see Drake outsell Em.
copped 3 copies. one for my car, one for home, and one for my ex-girl who loved em. and ive listened to this album almost exclusively since the leak
Eminem ft. Slaughterhouse - Session One Get it hot off the press here: http://content.onsmash.com/archives/40052 Crooked I killed it as usual!
Bought this yesterday but have only got about halfway through it on the way to work. This is the first rap album I have bought since Kanye's College Dropout, and it's been great so far. Love Em.
I still have to pick it up. I have been listening to it for over a week now. I tell everyone to support that man, he needs the money for therapy.
Damian Marley's music is great and Nas is Nas. Their collaboration has success written all over it from the get go. I wish I would have caught their show at Stubb's here in Austin. I'm still crossing my fingers they are added to the ACL lineup which is severely lacking a good hip-hop sound.
I've always been a huge Eminem fan. I didn't buy this album because the last three were so bad. This past weekend my friends played Love the Way You Lie for me. I fell in love with that song. It honestly gives me chills when the beat stops and he yells "If you ever try to ****ing leave again I'll tie you to the bed and set this house on fire." I am not a big pop fan, but Rihanna's voice is in such perfect contrast to his. The song is beautiful. Needless to say, I now own the album. I've never seen a stronger turnaround. This has to have been one of the hardest albums to write and produce. I think it is awesome. Best album of any genre I've heard in a while.
This is one of my faves too but Rhianna takes some of the punch out of it for me. I just never liked her voice.
On spacebound....where he says "an before i put that gun to my temple i told you this".... awesome...
It got lost in the Mainstream garbage but real hip hop enthusiasts were looking forward to that album for a while.
I know he's changed and so have times but I really miss the way he used to bring it on his first 2 LP's; Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers. Those were the only CDs I've bought of his and of course my favorites. But I distinctly remember playing those everyday over and over just thinking wow every track is a hit. They were so good that I still remember most of the lyrics to every song to this day. This one was eh, to me. It sounded like he really has gotten some sort of writer's block when he ryhmes because he's recycling a lot of his stuff on each song. That's just my opinion but of course I did buy the album. Oh and I bought Drake's too. His record wasn't as bad as people here seem to make it. He's not Eminem caliber but its really unfair to compare this kid that writes mostly love songs to someone as sick as Em that is just straight raw.
My love for Em's newest has only grown since I first listened to it. The only song I don't absolutely love is On Fire, and that's just because the hook/chorus of guys just basically saying "You're on fiyah" is irritating. Otherwise, it's a damn near perfect album. Glad I bought it.
"I'll blow my brains in your lap, sit here and die in your arms..." One of my favorites too. So romantic. Also dig Cinderella Man and that beat!
"Almost Famous" I believe, is an underrated track. Song is fire. Emotions are there. Concept is good, metaphors and punchlines are MMLP like. Track 10/10
