Production comes from West himself, Q-Tip, RZA, DJ Premier and Pete Rock. There's no mess there, in fact he made the album better finding these legends if anything. Kanye is in no way shape or form is (was) ever going to be better then Jay-Z as rapper. Ever. Ever. Ever. EVER. Not even close. Like if you really believe that you must think Kingdom Come was Hov's first album. Has anybody heard Reasonable Doubt? This is getting out of hand.
the dude was daily high off pills. No way ur state of mind is going to be clear. Other drugs might make you focus more and stay extremely active, but not the ones he was taking.
Just my own opinion. He's definitely one of the best rappers but I just don't like him. Kinda of how I feel towards Kobe. He's a beast but I don't watch him. I do like Reasonable Doubt and is really the only Jay Z CD I have. But like I said I put production with rapping and Kanye is one of my favorite. Right along with Premo, Statik Selektah, Jake One......etc.
I'm not a huge Em fan but Recovery is pretty good. I'm glad he decided to use different producers this time.
Hmm I hate Kobe too, but he is the best, no? I separate production with rapping, for the simple fact that P. Diddy would be one of the greatest rappers ever, and that's just silly. Being an avid Hip Hop fan I do know what I'm talking about and in no way shape or form am I being bias. I'm also not taking anything away from Recovery (which is looking like the Hip Hop album of the year, so far) or Eminem. Too each, their own and my own is that Jay-Z is the BRA.

And yeah....he bags on his on mothe some.....and has a couple songs about his daughter....but thats his life....what else is he supposed to rap about?? dances??.....Gucci Bags??....spending 10,000 dollars at the bar??.... Some of eminems songs are immature and annoying....but outta all the ones through the years that just were amazing......it makes up for the few sub-par ones.....
I agree. He also uses very bad language which is not appropriate for listening to at church or Bible study.

Oh what I meant to say was the beats along with the music. I love Kanye beats and along with his flow makes it killer. I think Jay has some great beats but I'm not a big fan of Just Blaze. And puffy? I wouldn't even put him as a producer. That man is just wack. After Biggie....that's it.
And hes lying about being from Detroit too maybe thats another reason you can hate him. Hes not my idol but hes by far my favorite rapper and yes he may be a p***y, but who the hell cares I know I dont all I care about is the music.
