So Bogans is going to play power forward, Wesley is going to play small forward and Howard is going to play shooting guard? Talk about unconventional! :D

In the 1997/98 season, JVG had one of his best coaching season. That season Pat Ewing played only 26 games because of Injuries so coach had to improvise and inspire his team to a record of 43-39, also making it to the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals with players like......

    Allan Houston
    Larry Johnson
    John Starks
    Chris Mills
    Charles Oakley
    Charlie Ward
    Terry Cummings
    Terry Cummings
    Chris Childs
    Buck Williams
    Chris Dudley
    Anthony Bowie
    Brooks Thompson
    Pete Myers
    Herb Williams

(with a stiff like Chris Dudley starting as their starting center after Ewing went down December 20, 1997).

(Ewing came back for the playoffs in the coference semis against Indiana which the Knicks eventually lost in part due to the notion/opinion that his return disrupted the flow of the the then rolling Knicks.)

Mind you the Eastern Conference was tough then with teams like Atlanta (with Mookie, Smith and co), Charlotte (Rice, Geiger, ad the gang), chicago (MJ), Miami (Zo, Hardaway and co), Indy (Reg, Jackson, Rik, Davis boys) and many more.

The moral? We can do it with team. :)

Bogans will never draw the double teams that Tmac was.

The only thing I worry about him is after play for Jeff for a while he will lost his BB instinct like other Jeff's players. Wish he can hit high percent 3s, DW too.

Well, I have a question: since Bowen would be coming off the bench and he can't shoot anyways, how about giving Hayes some minutes at the SF position and having a taller/stronger/bigger lineup in there for a stretch during games? Hayes will probably shut down whomever he's guarding, and he can probably attack the rim somewhat effectively, and can shoot just as bad as Ryan Bowen can...so JVG wouldn't be able to tell the difference if Bowen is in there or not when Hayes airballs a few?

If we can just make it to the playoffs and McGrady comes back in time at 90% health we will be so much stronger as team. This could still be the year

Man I love your Enthusiam. I hope you are right.
