Starting July 26th I'm taking a new position over at Enbridge (ticker : ENB) in downtown Houston. They are a big Canadian Oil/Gas Pipeline company.

Are there any co-workers on the board or any past employees?

    Any advice?

    Thanks.

I have a friend who has been working as a contractor at Enbridge for the past few months. She says it's a nice place to work.

Sonny, I'd like to ask you about HDTV receivers. Can I e-mail you through the board about this?

Who do you work for, if you don't mind saying? I'm currently at Sungard, they sell the same type of software...

Flow-Cal, Inc.. Does Sungard deal primarily with financial software?

Yeah, I think their software does accounting/financial functions. I'm in IT so truthfully I don't know exactly what they do. :)

Flow-Cal does sound familiar though, probably beat Sungard out on a sale... just like everyone else.

We're probably not competitors. We don't really deal with the financial side of Enbridge's business...we deal more with their natural gas accounting (monitoring of their gas pipelines for (in)consistencies).

This thread is pretty interesting in the sense that it still shows how much of Houston's economy is dependant on the energy sector.

    What dept?

boomboom - you are so right, just about any high paying job is in the energy industry (in some way shape of form).

Well you know what I mean... what are you a lawyer? :p

droxford - Enform is a sister company... we don't work with them too much.

mateo - let them know Sonny is coming. :D
