How big is his disability check for PTSD and hearing loss? Anyone know?

33 years old and already a bloater. He was never in Force Recon.

Seriously... If you want to represent the Marine Corps by flaunting your war veteran status to everyone at the very least don't have man t***.

Not playing stupid. It's just an objective statement since people are doubting any affiliation with the USMC.

He wasn't exactly seeking special treatment by wearing that shirt to begin with. He was targeted first and merely tried to explain what the shirt meant. I don't know why you're judging him so harshly, either. He served 4 years starting in 2003, which means he's likely been out of the armed forces for a while now. You're not likely to be in prime combat shape for the rest of your life, so does that mean you'll make the USMC look like ****, too?

As for him, I didn't see that he was wearing a wifebeater underneath. He could have taken that off and had a good time at the park with his family. He had a bit too much pride to do that, but at the same time, the park could have worked with him by compensating a new shirt to avoid bad PR. This could have been handled much better by both sides.

I think a lot of people would say that an image of a rifle with the text "keep calm and return fire" would qualify as a violent image.

You have to be careful, the typical social protocols/consequences don't necessarily apply to these guys- I once accidentally disrespected a veteran when I mistook him for a store employee. I knew I was in trouble when he went fully erect & got in my barking his rank in what branch of service, accolades earned etc. at me. I acknowledged, gave my obligatory "thank you for your service", apologized and got out of there. Never again, so I make extra sure I see the store nametag first now.

Probably should just let this guy wear what he wants.

There's combat shape and then there is man t***. No, I doubt I'll ever get to that level my entire life.

And it really isn't about wearing the shirt it's about making a big ****ing deal about it by going to the media.

That sounds like an awkward situation. You should have told him you don't swing that way.

I admit that we have our fair share of Affliction t-shirt wearing tribal band tattoo sporting douches but not all of us.

Hey better them than me, if what it takes for them to go out there & fight for our country is just a little more leeway from us in terms of dress code, behavior & respect, I'm all for it.

A supposed army special forces guy was staying at a hotel I was working at. he got a little too drunk & a couple of hookers got the best of him in his room, stole his wallet, phone & other belongings. He felt the hotel was responsible, even physically blocked me in the kitchen, getting a little physical, telling me about his military status & injuries sustained while protecting the rights of the likes of ppl like me, pointing at a rangers ball cap, but I still felt bad for him. I Couldn't get his wallet back, the escort agency would t even admit sending those girls over much less getting his wallet & personal photos back (of ex wife & kids is what he was most concerned about over money and phone), so I comped his room even though he was mad at me.

I actually think I could have got the better of him, if he forced the fight when he blocked the kitchen door. We were about the same size, and while he was obviously better trained in fighting techniques than my little bit of amateur boxing, he was also really drunk. And we were off security camera. So I was pretty confident I could get away with it. But I didn't do it, just helped him the best I could. You have to understand, these guys, fighting wars they might not even understand are their best options, just let it slide. Little stuff like this, let it slide

He got all offended just because you thought he was a store employee? What an a$$hole. What's wrong with retail?

Yea, it's a shirt. With a message printed in size 89 on the front.

Who could possibly be offended by a mere message!?!? It's so unthinkable right?!

Or the guy could simply deal with the fact that Six Flags didn't want him there in his shirt and change it.

Agreed. I know many humble Marines that would be embarrassed by the controversy and publicity this guy is bringing, and for him having man t***.
