You must be joking. Baron Davis is one of the biggest ball hogs in the league, he shouldn't even be classified as a Point Guard. Yao would never get the ball. Hell, noone would ever see the ball as long as Baron Davis is on the floor...
Say no to Carter. His contract is horrible. As bad as TMac is, his contract will expire in 2010 after all.
I will trade anyone (with exception to Yao) for a player that can drive to the basket. I'm a rockets fan not a ***. But he's the only consistent star we have right now. EVERYONE else is expendable. Nobody wants tmac. Let 'em have Batman and Ronron. I'll give them anyone else they want if they throw in Devin Harris (not gonna happen). Maybe the best result is more pt for Wafer. Quite frankly I'm really disappointed with the rox right now. Let's take a risk and see what happens.
But the thing is... we've seen Tmac + Yao work. Tmac + Yao gave us the first 12 games of the 22 game win streak. I'm not saying Artest is the reason we are losing, but the guy is averaging 37% FG%... and while Tmac has done some boneheaded things this season, Artest hasn't exactly been the face of success for this team. He gets a little more credit from the fans because when they were both injured it seemed like Tmac didn't want to play through pain while Artest did.
Lets face it, these Rockets right now won't make it past the first round, if they make it to the playoffs. They have to make a trade, I don't think acquiring VC is gonna work but at least the games will be more entertaining. And from me watching the Nets games it appears as he isn't the selfish player and ballstopper like Ron is.
i actually love this deal now assuming we don't part with battier. vince carter provide a LOT of needs at SG that T-Mac doesnt bring. he can shoot, slash, and score with efficiency. vc and battier would complement each other well.
the other day new jersey wanted to trade carter to san antonio for hill & mason so i dont know about this trade
Haven't watch VC enough recently to say anything. I don't think he's that great at defense though, and he'll probably just turn out to be another low percentage volume chucker for the team. Don't see how this would help much.
He was actually above 46% - he left a couple of games early and has played hurt a few times. He's a near 40% 3 point shooter - keep in mind this guy sees constant double teams.
Might be a good idea. Although we would be quiet short on players. It would mean releasing the defensive minded players to offensive minded players that would quiet suit adelman's style
i actually like this trade, surely between the two cousins and yao someone can be clutch in the 4th quarter now aside from the expiring contract, Artest and his love for the dribble would actually be a pretty good fit for the Nets 'dribble drive motion' offense they are using, the other questions would be what else do the rockets have to throw into match up the salaries and talent, if i was the nets i'd be asking for Landry and Wafer
I don't like getting Vince if we still have T-Mac. That monster contract? No way. The only way I take on Vince is if its for T-Mac.
