well on their website ESPN is reporting all signs point to the nets keeping carter....so it's probably just them throwing rumors around...probably just the rocket's who are interested like a previous poster said...

kg is a punk. a big one in my some 20 years of watching the nba.

he pretends to be tough, but when the going really gets tough, he will fold. too bad nowadays a lot of youngsters think the louder you are (even that includes fighting with a rookie or ouster your star pg), the bigger of a leader you can be. they think after you pound your chest 10 times and curse 20 times, you automatically become a leader.

yes he's a big talent. but he ain't mvp good. take away his patented travels in his moves, he's not even as good as people say he is.

Um, okay. And where did KG lead the Twolves during his 12 year stint in Minnesota? He had 1 Western Conference finals with the help of Spree and Cassell. Aside from that he led them to 4 lottery bound seasons and 7 first round exits before winning it all. The 7 first round playoff exits sounds extremely familiar since a certain player you love to HATE shares that same burden. Yet one's a "top dog" in your book and the other is an utter failure.

Paul Pierce... lets see ... 2 decent runs with a lot of help from Antoine Walker (Yes, he was actually pretty good back then put up around 21,9,5 for his career with Boston) in addition to 6 lottery bound seasons, and 2 first round exits before winning it all.

Ray Allen .... aka "top dog" led his squads to the playoffs a STELLAR **** 4 **** times in 12 seasons prior to arriving in Boston.

Certainly an interesting definition you have for "top dog" Dawg.

Replace Carter with any one of your "top dogs" of Pierce, Allen, KG on the Nets and they'd average close to the same 40 wins a year you're hating on. Replace Carter with either Allen or Pierce and Boston has the same amount of wins and equal chances of winning the Championship.

What's your point? Is there one besides proving that you're a hater? Time and time again?

Horrible move if this happens...If you think the Rockets' defense is bad now, it'll only get worse if this trade goes down. Not to mention VC has a cancer of a contract. I would trade T-Mac for VC though. Artest is somebody who raises his level in the playoffs and can lockdown the opposing team's best player. Ron is not the problem. I've come to the conclusion that T-Mac is this team's biggest problem.

You forget that Tmac raises his game in the playoffs too, and often is right up there with lebron and kobe. Tmac isnt the problem nor is it Ron. It's Rafer.

If you had a pg who really could lead the team by example, we would start winning and we wont have these 'issues'.

Historically, you're right but I've just about given up on T-Mac. Look at my signature and you'll see that I agree with you, but I've modified my position and I think T-Mac is this team's biggest problem.

Well, im gonna give tmac this one last season/playoff with the rockets. it hasnt been a year since his operation, and every nba player it seems usually gets back to form the next season (e.g. d.wade).

Also, i doubt that we'd trade tmac by the deadline, since his contract would be golden by next year. so between tmac(who only started to suck THIS year), artest (who i doubt would sign to a contract that would be fair by DM's standards) and rafer (who has been a career sucky pg), id trade rafer first, ron next and tmac next year if needed.

    Please no Vince.

    At least artest tries.

VC no longer tries at all!

If the Rockets aren't trading McGrady, why bother making any moves at all? The end result will be the same at season's end anyway.

How does he not try? He put up good all-around numbers and is a far more efficient player

Vince deserves his shot with a dominant big man, I just
wish they would take Tracy off our hands though...

TMac and Scola for Stoudemire and Artest and whomever for Carter and we finnally have a 3

    C Yoa
    PF Stoudemire
    SF Battier
    SG Carter
    PG Refer

I would take this team over what we currently have.
