Same here. Also Like others have said Pippen was never a Rocket and Hakeem finished his career with the Rockets.
I love when people are so clueless towards humor. Pippen is one of the most hated players to ever don a Rockets jersey and essentially an exile from Rockets history. All longtime Rockets fans share this sentiment.
I like it. You have to know your NBA history though to get the jokes. A lot of dialogue for Harden this time, and he delivered it quite well. His acting has been improving. Hope his defense follows.
Today on First Take – Scottie Pippen says he’s the greatest Chicago Bull of all time. In all honesty this is a great commercial and of course Scottie is joking but I have a sneaking suspicion Chuck isn’t. Like they didn’t even need to coach him on his lines. Just stood there and had Harden pepper him with bad memories that Charles has long forgotten. That’s what makes Chuck chuck. And that’s how it’s done. PS If you’re Scottie wouldn’t you want to forget Game 3 in 1994 when you refused to play out the last few seconds and inbound the ball to Kukoc? Or maybe the millions of dollars you’ve lost in bad investments? Feel like those would be the memories I would go for first.
The response I was replying didn't seem humorous. So before you comment on peoples sense of humor. And I also realize he was hated when he was here, hence the reason he was traded after one season
I personally peg it to either due to a lack of humor or the lack of knowledge of Rockets history. Plenty of others got it and were not confused with it at all or knew not to take it at face value. It's called feigned denial. An example would be when anyone asks my friend (HUGE Cowboys fan) about the infamous game with Detroit where he through 4 interceptions "It never happened!"
Also to believe he was traded due to people hating him is incredibly dumb. He was traded because he quit on the Rockets and demanded out. That is also one of the biggest reasons of why he was hated in Houston.
