Ironic. Biden wants to expand broadband access which would increase viewership of the muppets.

Pretty sure it was because they banned that dude from the bachelor who told that chick that going to that one party in college dressed up like gone with the wind was wrong but let her still participate and make it to the finals

You could support Democrats and Biden Specifically who already signed the American Rescue Plan which put more money into access for mental health treatment.

I'm not sure if you missed that link from before. Either way, it shows that one party is actively working to address the needs of mentally ill while the Republicans are actively working against it.

Based on your posting history. Feel free to illuminate any misconceptions regarding your lack of support for Biden I might have. I'm totally serious. I welcome it.

    excerpt:

Noah Green, the suspect who law enforcement sources say rammed his car into two US Capitol Police officers on Friday, posted on social media in the weeks before the attack that he had lost his job and suffered medical ailments, and said he believed the federal government was targeting him with "mind control."

Less than two hours before he was shot and killed, Green posted a number of Instagram stories on an account that appears to belong him, including links to other Instagram videos of Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan speaking.

“The U.S. Government is the #1 enemy of Black people!" a caption on one video read. In another post on the Instagram account, Green wrote last week that he believed Farrakhan had saved him "after the terrible afflictions I have suffered presumably by the CIA and FBI, government agencies of the United States of America."

Responding to a comment on that post, Green wrote, “I have suffered multiple home break ins, food poisonings, assaults, unauthorized operations in the hospital, mind control.”

classic schizophrenia ramblings: imagined break-ins, mind control... and he was the textbook onset age.

No. Just noting the difference in weapon when modified (see Vegas shooter bump stock).

I have a friend that actually has a pellet gun that has been modified enough to be much more deadly than a 22. Almost nearly as accurate from 150 yards as well.

You’d think by now Republicans (see how I said that and didn’t make you own your pass thorough post) would understand that shaming Democrats about “politicizing” deaths to talk about gun control doesn’t work. It doesn’t move the needle on public opinion. It doesn’t move the conversation away from gun control to avoid legislation so the gun lobby won’t pull their dark money to them for their re-election.

It’s such an old and tired attack. It doesn’t work. Sorry we are going to talk about guns until something happens on gun laws. Republicans should stop wasting their breathe trying to bully Democrats into not talking about guns.

I'm glad he didn't have guns. The gamut of mental illness is very large and so when we talk about no gun for those with mental illness, we need to be more precise. Believing the gov is out to get you, have control over your mind is a pretty clear case of banning access to gun.

no, but if we are too busy focusing on “self” ban, we will never deal with real problems

and sometime that’s exactly the goal

While I think firearms are certainly an important issue I'm not sure dragging the gun debate into this is that relevant. The fact is a firearm wasn't used by the attacker. While yes we can make a reasonable speculation that it might've been worse if he had used one but that's clearly not the issue here.

The real sad thing is we probably won't have to wait very long for another incident with firearms and multiple casualties.
