Outlaw Dave and Steve Fixx aren't personal friends of mine. And I didn't post a "thread" about this either.
I assumed that they were friends of Another Brother's or, at the very least, they were acquaintences. It wouldn't make any sense for him to go into that KLOL thread and say what you wanted him to say when the entire thread was one big sobfest about the loss of a radio station. Had people been celebrating the change, your analogy would be appropriate.
Then does it make sense to roll into this thread and piss all over the happiness that there's a rock station again? Why even go into a thread about a new rock station and throw that in? Even if the DJ's are his friends, wtf is that comment for? Do some happy BBSers soften the blow of two friends getting canned? That was just a bitter, pissy post from him, and I can guarantee that if the reverse was true - i.e. a rock station shiftin over to a R&B station, etc. that he wouldn't go into a thread to kindly point out the fact that a couple of DJ's he may or may not know will be out of a job.
Who are you to read into what I meant? "bitter sounding..." "exactly what his intonation was..." Val Wilson (aka Angela Smith) and I have been friends for over 15 years, she is a friend of mine and a friend of my family. Larry Jones provided a platform for people of all races and economic differences to be on the radio, not just people that brought in cakes or jerked off the sales people. I like Greg Pruitt and consider him a friend, but I can't help but to feel sorry for people who have been underpaid for years to help out the "company" and now they find themselves on the outside looking in. What exactly do I mean by that oh wise one?
So you were just kindly pointing out that two people would be out of a job now b/c of the new station right? Thanks for the PSA. I'll be sure to do the same and make sure everyone knows when acquaintances of mine get canned from companies brought up in random threads as well. The "bitter" part comes from your "as long as you guys are happy" comment. It's unnecessary. Oh, and isn't it "Jim" Pruett who will be one of the new DJ's? Who is this "Greg Pruitt" you speak of as a friend?
I know, sometimes I wonder why I still post anything that remotely resembles dissatisfaction. It always goes back to one thing, yet when I bring that one thing up, I still get flamed. I can handle it though RM, right or wrong.
No one flamed KLOL for going latin I guess, my bad. And by the way I may have said Greg instead of Jim in the "thread" I posted earlier, but if you're still curious call 97.5 and ask him if he's friends with Billy D. Washington, I'm sure he'll clear it up for you. Rock on G...
Yeah, uh...so anyway...will 97.5 and 103.7 be the same station and play the same songs at the same time? That seems kind of odd.
Don't need to call 97.5 as he's not working there yet, my guess is that Jim is working at his gun shop ( a very nice one for those interested) off of 290 at the moment. Whether you are friends with Jim or not, I don't care. Again, I do not see the point in your going into a thread about a new rock station just to point out that its creation will get two of your friends canned but that it's okay "as long as you guys are happy." Pointless. Anyway, I've heard that it will be the exact same broadcast on both stations until some sort of signal strength issues are cleared up. I think one or both of the stations may have the same problem AM 650 & 790 do with signal strength and powering it up/down during certain hours.
welll aces...you wanna lay odds on whether or not they play music from one of our mutually favorite bands? doubtful... ah well..thats what my Sirius radio is for ...Buzzsaw rocks! anyway...as expected...this makes me bookoo happy..(yea..I know it aint spelled right)....especially the fact that it isnt owned by Satan. I would be especially glad if they didnt bring back Walton and Moron in the mornings...I never could get into thsoe guys..
W&J was the reason I switched to The Buzz from 101 in the first place. I will listen to Jim and Dave in the afternoons, but I would rather eat ground glass than listen to W&J in the morning.
I agree. Walton & Johnson was the only morning radio show I found to be even worse than Stevens and Pruett. When W&J came on the scene, I actually switched over to the 104 morning show. *shudder* Nowadays I wake up too late to catch any of the morning DJs so I could care less. I am pleased about Outlaw Dave signing aboard.
Yeah, it must really kill poor Wendy that she can't prattle on about Sammy Hagar and Ratt all day anymore.
well, we still get W&J and co from the morning shows here in CS. WOuld be nice to hear a new rock station. I hope it's decent.
