Just like the past incarnations of this very same scam... err, I mean project... they have started delaying each milestone as they reach the deadline.

A proposed Montgomery County theme park and entertainment complex has updated its construction schedule.
Grand Texas Sports and Entertainment District, a proposed 620-acre, mixed -use development in New Caney, was expected to open some portions of the business by mid-2015, but organizers are making further changes to the master plan, according to Impact News.
Monty Galland, CEO of the privately funded district at Interstate 69 and Texas 242, told Impact News that some features have been delayed by a year or more due to design issues and delays in utility hookups.
"Unfortunately, it's not the timetable that we expected or anybody else wanted," Galland told the publication.
The developers have hired Bleyl & Associates of Conroe to revise the park's master plan, adding extra features such as a factory outlet mall on U.S. 59. The mall is to be similar in size and store mix to Tanger Factory Outlets in Texas City, Galland told Impact News.

The recreational vehicle park is expected to be the first Grand Texas component to open this fall, with reservations to start in late July, according to Impact News. Putting in the RV park will allow developers to install utilities that will provide infrastructure for the rest of the development, organizers said.
Galland told Impact News that the project will begin taking job applications this fall and winter for the sports complex and water park. The entire complex is expected to be open by late 2018 or mid-2019, he said.
Organizers have said they envision the project as a long-awaited replacement for the former AstroWorld amusement park, with additional amenities.

According to the project's website, "Development of Grand Texas has a single, unifying aim: to provide an up-scale, diverse, and exciting destination for the entire family."

Agreed! Fortunately I don't take it all that often. I actually live in Houston, but out towards Cypress.

The exit ramp to 610 South has been finished a few months and it's niiice. It's like a separate freeway.
