Since when are the Celtics hated. It must have been back when they were winning championships, because in all my years of watching basketball, (about 15) they don't seem to draw any kind of hatred. They had two years of going deep in the Eastern Conferance, but aside from that, they've been an average/below-average team for years. And average teams don't get hated.

From the Laker fans' P.O.V. much of the hostility is probably due to '81 and Sampson's miracle shot of 1986.

I live in L.A. and have long endured all the woos and hisses from L.A. Lakers fans for me wearing my Barkley, Olajuwon and Francis jerseys.

It's funny how all that hostility vanished when the Lakers lost in the finals.

It doesn't matter to me. A true Rockets fan can be bashed by other Rocket fans for admiring Scottie Pippen or wanting Karl Malone to become a Rocket.

But it's cool. I've learned how to forgive and move on. I'm just hoping T-Mac and Yao can put together a string of championships.

THE BIG BROADCAST OF 2006 IS COMING -- THE ROCKETS 3RD TITLE.
