The polarization during Clinton was a direct result of the very same "conservative talk radio, Fox Media, Christian right/ George Bush crowd" so no, I am not being unfair. We are in agreement.
This is where I am too. I don't like Hillary personally (I think she's slimy), but beyond that, I think the worst thing we could do is elect someone that half the country hates on day #1. Unless she has some kind of super-majority in Congress (which is scary in itself), she's not going to get anything accomplished. Both parties are in ultra-partisan mode - their only goal right now is to oppose the other party and make sure they get no victories, and it's gone beyond ridiculous. As a moderate, I believe the best policies come when the two parties are forced to compromise (see 1996-2000). With a strongly Dem Congress, personally I would like Obama or a moderate GOP President. I do still think if it's eventually Hillary, Bloomberg's going to join in.
I've heard Kucinich speak quite a bit. He's a man of principle, it seems to me. His ideas are definitely different from mainstream America....but when I heard him speak it sounded to me like he was someone who was deeply affected by his faith and that led him to seek peace first. I don't think he's remotely electable....but I like him. Hmmm..tougher question. I don't like either of those three you mentioned. I feel like I'd be, once again, picking the best of two evils. I'm really hoping the dems pick some combination of Edwards and Obama.
