it just sticks out like a sore thumb to me. maybe b/c i consider "Sorry" to be the strongest track on the album.
My favorite tracks: Chinese Democracy, Sorry, This I Love, Prostitute, Madagascar. My least favorite tracks: Better, IRS, Catcher in the Rye
I've been a huge Guns fan for a while now, and it's relieving to finally have Chinese Democracy officially in my hands. I personally love the album, having heard all the leaks over the years. The only songs I stayed away from before getting the album were "This I Love", "Sorry", & "Scraped", and I'm very glad because I love all three of those songs. Bucket's work on the album is just flat out amazing. I can understand people will always be complaining about the lack of Slash/Duff/Izzy, but if those people could just listen to this CD for what it is, I can't see how they can deny the great music on it. I'm very content with all that's on the album, despite Brian May's solo being taken out of "Catcher in the Rye" ( ). I was surprised at the lack of credits for Richard Fortus on the album, however. And on the flip side, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much work Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal had done on the album. I had the chance to meet Ron this past Wednesday, and he was a great dude. He was at Vintage Vinyl in Fords, NJ for his new solo album that came out, and he played a few songs up on the stage. He even teased at playing "Chinese Democracy" doing the intro and singing the first few lines, impersonating Axl If I had to state a top 3 of my favorites currently, I'd definitely go with: 3. Sorry 2. Catcher in the Rye (even with the lack of Brian May) 1. Prostitute
bucket has some good stuff on there but when i hear an axl ballad i just instinctively want a smooth sounding slash solo. he always had one of my favorite tones.
