Looks great in terms of the details on the streets and environment. The only issue right now is that the lip syncing looks pretty bad but I know that will be fixed in time. Also some next gen motion capture wouldn't hurt, the characters still move like zombies with no joint flexibility. Still, looks awesome and I can't wait.
Speaking of which, does anybody know the actual release date? Amazon says it's being released on April 30. EB Games and Gamestop both say March 3.
When they delayed it, I believe they said to expect it around late Q1/early Q2 of 2008. I wouldn't be surprised if they waited until Q4 though.
4th Quarter of 2008? Like a year from now? What makes you think they are going to push back the release for another year?
$$$ Publishers seem afraid to put out their big games outside of the holiday season, which is when they'd typically get the most sales. Game sales aren't that great outside of that time period, especially after March. Of course, this is probably because no great games are released during this time since publishers would rather release them near the end of the year. Maybe that will change next year though. A bunch of major games are currently scheduled for a Q2/Q3 release, and hopefully they won't all be pushed back to Q4. Some of them shouldn't really have to depend on the sales boost from the holidays (like GTA IV).
looks aight... i want a 1920s-30s Chicago themed GTA... character is Al Capone just moved from NY. got tommy guns, St. Valentine's Day Massacre, boot legging, prostitution, other gangs (bugs moran)
I'll be picking up a copy the moment it's released. Those games are fun as hell. Heck, just driving around, listening to the radio, and goofing off is fun.
^for the first 30 or so minutes, yea After I quit smoking, video games just aren't as fun anymore. I play my sisters' mario galaxy game on wii. It's not like the one I played on N64, but it's still okay.
Looks pretty good and of course, I'll get it...I'm in no rush as they should be taking their time to make it perfect...
Will this be out on 360? With Bioshock, Mass Effect, and GT IV -- that might push me to the next gen...finally.
Yes, it is 360/PS3 (unofficially PC too I guess). The 360 is actually the lead SKU IIRC, unless things changed.
Wow, will Sony every a system moving game... Gran Turismo is great, but I wouldn't buy a PS3 just to get it.
