I like that he thinks highly of Houston because when he travels through the airport, they treat him super nicely. MLB.com: I’m sure you've been to Houston several times. What’s your opinion of the city? And how much are you looking forward to getting around town a little bit, getting to know it better? Brown: Well, it's funny, I've always liked Houston because I'm a global service member with United, so whenever I would fly to Houston, it was pretty fun. So I was like, "OK, I'm going to Houston. This is great."
Brown’s aggressive rhetoric so far is shocking to me and a dramatic contrast to how Luhnow and especially Click operated. Of course, it does put pressure on him to produce results. At this point if we get to opening day without at least one core player being extended, Brown will be going down the road toward a reputation of “all hat, no cattle.”
This is true Hopefully he is aware and understands this. I'm hoping that talks have progressed to the point where he is talking without worry.
It also puts pressure on the players and agents. Do they really want to stay in Houston or are they in it all for the money.
