If playoffs are out of the option, their is no reason to even play the season. The regular season is meaningless, it means nothing. No playoffs = waste of time.

I believe we should have had this poll after the 1st game. ;) and yes i would have chosen #2. I was optimistic this team would make it as a top 4 team but after Tmac went down i knew it was all over.

    Rockets have bad luck because:

    1. All our key players are injured for a long time in the season.
    2. And we cant tank because they are not good players in the draft.
    :D

I voted push forward, I think end of the day you have to as your self this. Why are you rooting for a team? I mean if the Rockets win a championship, I can't see how it affects most of us directly?

I cheer for the Rockets because that's all I know how to do in the last 10+ years. I enjoy watching them play and I enjoy cheering them to victory. If the Rockets decide to tank like the Spurs, I can accept that, but I don't know if I would like it as much. I want the team I root for to play to hard as they can even if they lose.

No to tanking but get it's time to dump JHo and Stro.

Bobcats have lost May for the season. They've got Ely who is as good as JHo and Swift but with a cheaper contract. Let them have JHo for Ely + expiring contracts and pick/s. Ely would be a revelation if he were to find himself in a Rockets jersey.
If the Nets still want Stro then dump him for Padgett, expiring contracts and pick/s.

In the off-season offer Ben Wallace a Steve Nash type contract.
Re-sign Wesley for the vet's minimum. Cut Anderson or Rybo.

    Rafer, Sura, Spanoulis
    Wesley, Head, (Draft)
    Tracy, (Draft), Anderson/Rybo
    Wallace, (Draft), Padgett
    Yao, Deke, Ely

man i dont want them to lose on purpose for lack of not trying but yes i am rooting for them to loose.

im starting to dream of a lineup with tracy yao and morrison. im thinking that might work pretty well together.

but i guess im just wishing.

First, we wouldn't want expiring contracts in a Stro deal. Nets wouldn't give more than one pick. If anything, it'd be a Stro for Padge and one pick: either Jersey's or the one Jersey got from the Clippers. Both picks are placed in high teens to twenties. I don't know if I'd do that.

Secondly, we can't offer Wallace more than the MLE: 5mil/year. We are over the cap by at least 6 million. Phoenix could offer Steve Nash his contract because their only major contract was Shawn Marion's. They had over 17+ million in cap space that summer and used it to get Nash and Q-rich. Notice how they couldn't dish out those kinds of deals for free agents this past offseason?

Don't tank ~ just rest the big names and play the youngsters + Stro heavy minutes.
