This was my experience until my most recent dog. He's half lab and half brittany and he has been so chill ever since we adopted him. Its funny he's so laid back it's like he's always stoned. He likes to run and play sometimes but he's never had that puppy spaz phase.

    Patience is key.

When I got mine, she wanted to bite (more like a nibble) all of the time. Pretty much if she wasnt sleeping she was trying to play bite. She also loved to potty inside. It takes a lot of patience and telling them NO, and also using treats for when they do the correct action.

One trick I used to help her quit the biting is have a treat in your hand, lay it on the ground with your hand over the treat and your dog will probably start nibbling at your hand. Once you say NO and they walk away/stop biting, you reward them with the treat. Do this 100 times.

It also just takes time. They will grow out of that stage after about 6 months or so.

GOOD LUCK! AND PATIENCE MY FRIEND. PATIENCE

What Anticope and B-Bob said is what I'd do.
