What so great about IPODs? They over price for their memory size, don't run wmv files, horrible battery life with expensive replacement but their market share is amazing why? Because it's the "it" mp3 player, it's the IPOD and then the all other mp3 players. It's the same with the Razr, but I agree, it's not that amazing of a phone, but it does look cool (still don't like the fact that every one seem to have one these days though )
I don't know about the actual phone models, but I will say one thing, I absolutely love my carrier - Nextel. There's no too many things of which I am a "RAVING FAN" but the Rockets, DirecTV, Tivo and Nextel are a few of them. Nextel is great for me b/c they have a "free incoming calls" plan. I sell real estate and probably 65-70% of my calls on my cell phone are incoming. I always thought it was a joke when I got charged when someone called me. For Heaven's sake, sometimes I got calls from telemarketers on my cell Anyway, the service is better than Cingular and (at least for me about 1/2 the price). Plus you got the "George Lopez walkie-talkie thing" I don't use it too much, but my wife can "walkie talk" me and then I can call her from a land line and the entire call is free (or vice versa).
razr is too big. yea its thin, but when i saw it in person, its HUGE. i want a small/compact cell, cuz i carry alot of things in my pockets. ive been doing research on a new cell and the two im eyeballing right now is the w600 or motorola pebble. i need to look at them in person first before i decide its the phone i must have. i was eyeing the tmobile samsung t809 but after i saw it in person, i didnt like it. it reminded me of the razr, thin but big.
in most gms countries that do pay as you go plans, there is always free incoming, which leads to the practice of missed calls, so instead of calling a person and wasting your minutes, you just call em and let it ring once, then hang up.. this leaves a missed call on their fone, and usually they call back, and you get to talk endlessly on their minutes for free
I got a razr a month ago with cingular. Only problem I had was the volume was too low. Found a little application that you can use to raise it. Now I love the phone fully.
I'm looking to upgrade to this phone next month. http://reviews.cnet.com/Sony_Ericsson_K750i/4505-6454_7-31313351.html I had a frind that had the earlier version of that phone and it was simply awesome.
I have the W600i. I really like it. Its a little bigger than I would have wanted, but I have about 80 songs with room for about 20 more. Great for a mp3 player at the gym. The button layout is kinda cheap but the phone gets great reception and a ton of features. I really like the EDGE data network. Pretty fast data transfer speeds for a phone.
which provider is the best? My wife and I have verizon and a lot of friends and family do also but I'm looking for a new phone and I want one that I can fully utilize bluetooth with and verizon disables many of the syncing features with their BT phones. I'm also looking to upgrade my plan for more mins since I just cancelled our home phone we never used.
www.phonescoop.com Plug in the criteria you want in phone into the phone finder and you should be able to find the phone you like. I personally have the V360 from Motorola. Not the greatest looking phone but has a lot of Features. Primarily the EDGE support so I can tether it with my PDA for internet using t-mobile's higher speed data network. There are a lot of other phones but I guess it just depends on what you want.
I don't know the exact times, but if you talk a lot you'll need to charge intermittently throughout the day. I used to not have to charge every night, but now if I forget to, it'll for sure die by the next day. For more info on the blade, check out www.sprintusers.com and go to the samsung forum.
This is definitly a great phone, in fact, this is the only phone that I wants...........5 months ago. This phone is a hit in the PAST around the world, especially asia while they're not available in the U.S.
I am going to buy the w600 but I still have one question that I haven't really found the answer to. Can you transfer mp3's from your computer to the phone or do you have to buy them from a Cingular authorized place? How many songs does the w600 hold?
You can put MP3s from your computer on it. I currently have about 40 songs on mine, with room for more, but I want to save room for images (I can take 100 or so more images with the space left, plus 40+ songs) Basically, 256mb.
I just got a Sony Ericsson W800. This thing is a beauty. I have a 1 gb memory card filled with songs on it and plan on getting a 2gb card soon. The headsets are just plain awesome. I use my stereo headsets as the handsfree, just awesome.
http://www.engadget.com/2006/02/14/sony-ericssons-hbh-ds970-stereo-bluetooth-headset-with-remote/ I'll probably be getting those at some point.
sony ericsson phones kick so much ass. the w600 is great phone and i was choosing b/t that one and the s710a. i chose the s710a for the swivel-design and price was cheaper. the stereo headphones for the newest ericssons are pretty good headphones and u can talk on them at the same time.
