4Runner is good, but be sure to get some anti-rollover technology on there and be very careful with turns...that car is way too high and too narrow for my taste, it looks scary.
The new Tahoe's look way too much like a minivan for my taste. I think they really screwed up with the new ones. I don't think pimp when I see them now. I think soccer mom.
My wife's Honda Pilot seats 8 and gets around 20 town / 26 hwy and has plenty of power. It has the same engine as the MDX but the MDX was tuned to take premium gas where as the Pilot takes regular. The only thing I don't like is that it has a timing belt instead of a chain which means I'll be shelling out a grand come 100,000 miles. Also, I kind of think of the Pilot as a chick car - no offense to those men driving them.
Funny.. you're looking at the exact 3 cars I'm looking at.. anyway, after a lot of test drives and research on durability, maintainence, and overall driver satisfaction.. I've decided to go with the Toureag. It's not as big as either, but it is put together very nicely.. just get the V6 with package option 2 and you won't break the bank..
He doesn't know any better. He lives in NYC. Their depressed standard of living usually doesn't allow for the luxury of owning a vehicle.
Those soccer mom-mobiles have one really cool thing going for them though.. a hybrid engine that only uses gasoline when you travel over 40mph...
That's not all it comes with, it also comes with a "My wife made me buy it" sign written all over it.
yeah well, maybe she'll give you some nookie for getting her the ultimate soccer mom caddy to cruise around in..
Uhh, 46 grand isn't that much... but I can think of about 100 other cars that I'd buy for under that before that soccer mom cruiser even crossed my mind.
Good choice. I like the Tahoe as well, but it's just too big and bulky to manuver comfortably in tight parking spots, garages, and narrow lanes. For everyday driving the 4-Runner is a solid pick because you get good quality and resale value.
yeah, the size was actually a huge reason i went that way.... the parking garage i use at work is about as tight a garage as you will find. parking my mom's sequoia there for the past 5 days has been a royal pain in the ass. scraped a concrete pillar the other day, she wont be too happy (just a small scrape though).
Yeah, they need a new SUV with a giant pair of balls on the hood....the new Ford Erector, or something. This is important stuff...wouldn't want strangers to question your masculinity as you pass them on 610.
