Sorry DD, he may speak truth every now and then, but when he laces the truth with venemous poison it dilutes what truth he began with. Truth is what it is. But he tends to put more spices in there than it needs to be and it all comes out as hatred.

I dont hold McGrady up to some mythical standard. Like I said earlier, if he gets traded then good luck to him and lets get behind whoever we get in return. The venomous hatred seething thru BlinDbury's veins for T-Mac is as obvious as McGrady's own difficulties on and off the court this year. A professional columnist(even though this is his blog) should be above that.

Maybe Fran is the only one with the balls to write about how TRUE the Mcgrady situation is. I don't think one pulls all this out the air. He might be exagerrating, but I doubt it.

No, let's flip that around....a professional basketball player getting paid $21 milllion dollars should be playing hard, and being a good teamate.

Fran is just telling it like it is.....people just don't want to hear it because it screws up our expectations.

Heck, lord knows it is screwing up mine...but I believe him 100%..because I can see it in the body language of the other players on the court.

You can read the difference, see the disdain they have for Tracy....it is obvious that something is not right....watch how much fire and energy they played with in Boston or Atlanta versus Oklahoma City......it is just danged obvious that they do not want to play with Tracy.

What I don't understand is why someone who openly QUIT on his teammates (Toronto game, not Orlando) keeps being defended by all of you...it baffles me

Agreed, and it is happened under JVG, and now twice under Adelman.....he has to go for the organization to move forward....addition by subtraction...yes, I like that for some reason.

Because he can occasionally shoot 10 for 30 and score 25 points. Some people only look at the the number of points and don't consider efficiency, hustle, or defense.

He makes several statements in here about what T-Mac's teammates KNOW. Yet only one is offered any substantiating quote and that is sourced "anonymous."
Honestly I think one of these bullets comes from an out of context quote and the rest are his own projections onto the players. But you know what, it makes for a juicier story and is much more interesting than talking about the game and how its the 2nd half of a B2B so T-Mac aint playing today - end of story.

I'm not going to defend it. But, knowing T-Mac's personality and history, and the way he allows his physical problems erode his mental approach, him giving a crap effort in Toronto is not exactly surprising. He's a player who constantly needs someone in his ear to keep him on the right path. That's what he had with JVG, more so than Adelman. Hopefully Mutombo helps in that regard.

He is telling the truth, he is protecting the players. The same thing happened in Orlando.

I am sure once Tmac is traded etc, the truth will all come out....Tmac just needs more shots...remember?

    LOL

You must have missed the Philadelphia game in Pennsylvania last year. He did something similar then too when he took himself out of the game with an "ankle sprain." That was the game that opened my eyes to McGrady. I am past the anger and not surprised anymore on how he reacts when things go bad. A lot of players have flaws but wondering if you want a guy on your team in a foxhole with you shouldn't be one of them.

Don't forget the infamous Golden State game under JVG when they had clinched a playoff spot.

    Tmac quit then too.

Is it odd that I put more credence in what Blake says than what BlinDbury says.

I am going to pay more attention to the body language of McGrady's teammates next time he is in the lineup. I always watched his body language because folks are saying he is lazy and aside from that Toronto fiasco havent seen it.

I will say I didnt see much difference in Von Wafer in the OKC vs NY game.

Easy...people love superstars. No matter how flawed they are. And believe me, our so called superstar is flawed beyond words and has been for years.

To paraphrase a poster from about a month or two ago "I swear that 90% of the board wakes up in the morning and the first thing that they do is watch the 13 in 35 vid and then you tube some old '03-'04 highlights of T-Macs"

Alot of guys don't watch the game for the love of the sport, they watch it for entertainment.

If he does get traded, it will be very interesting what comes out. I think if Fran had anything, he would just use the anonymous source quote like he did on the first part. My trust in Fran is hindered by his checkered past of attack journalism. If Feigen said it, I would be more apt to believe it.

    Bucman,

Did you see the breakdown thread I did on the Philly game? The one where I charted all the layups given up by the Rockets...Tmac was the overwhelming reason for that game, he never rotated to help his teamates...it was the laziest defensive effort I have seen in a long time.

He played ok in the first quarter and then at the end got a couple of steals, but he just didn't move to help his teamates at all, it was then I knew that something is seriously wrong in the locker room.

Tmac has run his course in Houston.

Like I said a lot, if shane was healthy early, he wouldve missed the 1st month like Manu did. If he wouldve sat along with shane and then wouldve been accused of tanking. I'm just saying shane had a ankle and tracy had a knee and a shoulder, yet shane has missed more games and not a word. All he has to do is stand in the corner and play some defense. Of course some players are judged differently though. I only care about playoff results that's it.

Shane's got credibility. It's not just the sitting out games. When McGrady played against Toronto it looked like he quit on the team.

Go back and look at the Bucher thread where Rick describes T-Mac as a "loser". Blinebury's far from being alone when it comes to sports writers and their views on T-Mac.

No I didnt. I remember a couple of those in the first half due to slow/no rotations by T-Mac but never saw the full breakdown.

I just cannot see any jarring things happening between our Rockets players, not on their faces either.I just believe what I really see with my eyes and judge with thinking.

This guy,BLINDbury, wrote down usual BS to catch our eyes. I don't give a hoot what he says about the team chemistry and Ron and the part he's criticizing T-mac is so true. I really hope Tracy would transform himself back to the ol' Mac.;)
