But that is what a players coach does. Ademan can coach a ron artest, bonzi wells, vernon maxwell, jason williams, rod strickland, jerome kersey because he treats them like grown men and not fresh out of high school players. Tracy hasn't really grown up yet, he has been babied his entire career and not held accountable for his actions especially playing on sorry teams where he was just the man. As of right now especially when you want to go deep into the playoffs and you talking about competing for championships. Winning is all about grown men stuff,You can't hold a 30 year old 10 + year vets hand across the street.
man, Tmac_1, doesn't that raise your blood pressure defending tmac for everyone on this forum? I'm not saying whether you're right or wrong but what a stressful job it must be to reply to almost everything DD post, badgerfan, etc etc. You're not going to change people with already set minds.
Everyone should listen to Fran, he hardly sounds like a man with a vendetta. I have been saying that ALL YEAR !!! I wonder where all the people arguing about him being injured are now? If I were Shaq, I might be able bust out a rap about my dairie aire ! DD
If he feels pain in his knee, enough to affect his game, then it should be considered an injury, no? The bigger question now seems to be about his conditioning, but that's an injury-related issue, too. Anyway, Morey seems to consider it an injury, unless he's not telling the truth.
TMac is NOT injured - he hurts. That's it! Period! His spring is low and he's in bad shape, stamina wise. His lack of conditioning and attention to rehab is one reason why people on the staff are pissed. As for the team 'joking' about TMAC and him not playing - total BS. They do not joke, they chide under the veil of sarcasm but the comments made are meant to sting and hurt NOT to lighten TMAC's mood. EVERY PLAYER ON THE TEAM KNOWS...that TMAC is a mental basket case. FACT! They do indeed JOKE about that... McGrady didn't volunteer for this 2 week period nor was he TOLD that this was what he was doing..it was kind of like, 'Just sit out and come back later.' Artest's situation is pesky but is NOT being looked at like TMac's..in no way at all.
See, this is what I was afraid of .....an intermission.....DANG IT !!! I want them to take charge of this team....is Adelman that meely mouthed and spineless? What about Morey? Who is in charge there? DD
yep. this is all on tracy and his lack of work ethic. if he had rehabbed the knee like he was supposed to over the summer, we wouldn't be where we are. lazy, lazy, lazy, and stupid.
Two players of the same caliber don't exist for them to draft, of course, and the way they do the lottery was changed due to the Rocks amazing luck (the Rockets Rule, LOL!), and added to that, the Teddy Bears would have to make a quick trip to the Finals if they somehow equaled the feat, so yeah... I have my doubts as well!
i don't think artest's situation is as serious as we are being led to believe either. they just want him to get healthy so the ankle is solid for the stretch run and they can evaluate the talent on the roster. but if they just said "artest is sitting for awhile with a sprained ankle" the fans would really start getting upset.
If what you're saying is true, is the team ready to move on without McGrady? I don't mean necessarily trade him but just not expect much from him even after he returns? Because it doesn't sound like something that's going to be fixed by McGrady rehabbing for two weeks.
Tmac has a weak keen, and our coach has a weak mind, so those result in what is going on, and on. My impression is that Tmac does not want to be traded, and he is so fragile when he is not playing well, and the rockets never say he can not be traded, that is one of the reasons for Tmac who is doing lots of strange things to prevent a trade? He knows no teams want to an injured player. Otherwise, just do not know what he is doing now, just plays the ball with a heart, there is no a big deal, you have $22 M on your hand.
wow nothing there surprises me all that much but good to see that management is taking a stand for once, should have done this long ago. [speculation] i bet Francis was probably one of the ones vocal about McGrady though I mean look at it Francis was in great shape and was working to get back on the court while McGrady just coasted. Francis was not even allowed to play once despite all the injuries the team had in december and then all of a sudden Tracy comes back early and a week later Morey bends over backwards to Memphis to get Francis off the books the day on Christmas eve. While I understand the financial reasons to move Francis certainly there were other options out there that were possible. The clippers had a little cap space left and with baron's injuries could have used a PG I am sure Morey could have moved Francis to the clippers without having to give up all that cash and the second round pick. Now this is purely speculation on my part but that whole trade didn't seem right at all how it went down. Could McGrady have forced that trade through because he was a)upset at francis at his remarks? b)that the majority of Houston fans love francis for the very same reasons they are upset at mcgrady. Francis has been nothing but a professional and I can see why it could have caused problems now with Yao. Yao loves Francis and he didnt seem too happy when he was traded..as opposed to when he had signed back here last season. Personally I would have rather had Francis though less talented than McGrady out there playing as hard as he can, figuring out the offense and teammates on the fly then a "injured" McGrady trying to play through the "pain" Something just doesnt seem right at all hopefully these 2 weeks will benefit the team. [/speculation]
Sounds to me like they told him to take a hike for a couple of weeks and see if he can get his head straight. If he can, good. If he can't, good bye.
Well, I guess we'll just have to wait two weeks to see where McGrady is at, physically and mentally. But if all these reports are indeed true, it's kind of crappy how so many people are ready to throw McGrady under the bus right now. And the more I think of it, Doc Rocket's comments about some of the players making fun of McGrady is pretty sad. Even if there is a problem with McGrady, it seems like a really poor way for teammates to be showing it.
so the "all eyes on ym" hint merely means now this team has become a single core team from a dual core team, and nothing more?
You know, I do feel for McGrady as a human being, especially if he's having issues with depression or whatever. But as a Rockets fan, damn I wish he had gotten traded during the off season. No team needs this kind of drama. Also, if the Rockets were a football team his teammates would be kicking his ass right about now.
meh. The ridicule he gets is just a reflection of his expression. I promise you, if he had been more of a non-wuss about all this, his teammates would treat him like a non-wuss.
