It is sad. Enough though I bust on the Rockets a lot; it is still the team I cheer for. Right now, the best case scenario seems to be to trade TMac for a positive contributor since it doesn't look like TMac will ever play well (hard) for the Rockets again.
oh, i understand that all the genuine rockets fans are upset about the news that the team is having trouble. but some of the opinions expressed in this thread were nothing but unapologetic hate and vitriol. DD, i'm being honest when i say that this day has been coming for a LONG time. ever since the rockets put a bunch of hardworking guys on the same team with a certain "superstar" with a sense of entitlement. so yeah, it kind of sucks that the team might be fracturing, but if this is what it takes to get rid of the cancer, then i (as a fan of the team) am glad that it is happening. to heal, you gotta get rid of the disease first.
funny. i always lean toward the latter with those two. imo, the one you should take with a grain of salt is Feigen.
Who do you guys think are these "under-the-radar budding star like Joe Johnson" type people he's talking about?....As well as that we could even score in a trade? The only ones I can even think of are rookies that are too good or with too much potential to give up like rudy fernendez and westbrook...
No, I still have the same problems with Blinebury. Regardless of it being a blog, it was poor journalism, and it made me respect him less for it. On that point, being true or not doesn't make a difference.
We wait....and hope that grown men can work out their differences, and the season can be salvaged. Or, we wait for them to break apart the team....and hope we get pieces back that work with whatever is left. You would think that talented players would want to work together to do everything they could to win...ala Boston last year, but sometimes, egos get in the way. I just want the team to play hard, play together, and do their best.....whomever is left on the team. DD
can you just come out and say it? if it's eventually gonna come out, what's the point of holding it in? so when is tracy going to be traded?
and personally, i don't see tracy wanting to take the team over from yao ming b/c time and time again throughout the years here, tracy has PUBLICLY said this is YAO'S TEAM. he said that multiple times last yr. if anything, this problem is a lot b/t tracy and adelman. and how adelman has absolutely ZERO control in the situation. what kind of coach is that where your players don't even respect you? you think any of this would happen under JVG?
I can't tell if this is really the situation. I only wish we had some more concrete information. JVG was a control freak and maybe too much of one.
people in this thread called out fran for writing his comments with no factual base, saying he should know what he's talking about before writing. so now that it has been proven that he's right. . . who is it that has been writing commentary with no facts? and who is it that should know what they are talking about before writing? you say you have problems with how negative fran was, how unprofessional a tone he took . . . while the ridiculous opinions expressed about him and the article were even more negative, and vastly more unprofessional.
well trade the fool tracy then. what kind of classy organization is this if it allows this kind of pettiness to perpetuate? if it's that bad, TAKE SOME ACTION. i dont' understand why the organization is allowing this to go on every single day and not say a word about it.
a coach should have "too much" control b/c that's the only way a coach will get the players' attention. i think adelman has been way too lax since he started last yr. i think right now, i think the players don't respect the guy, including yao ming. if this is true that tracy and artest have been doing whatever they want, i'm sure the players not only lose respect for those 2, but also adelman. it's time to rehire JVG and all this will be solved. adelman is a wuss.
Fran is paid to write a blog for the Chronicle that has a larger readership than ClutchFans (although we do rock). As such, I would expect him to refrain from name-calling like Buttercup and all those other ridiculous nicknames he uses. What, is it really that hard to simply call someone by their name? Posters on this board, who are not paid for their opinions, are obviously going to be much less held up to public scrutiny for their comments. But, I think it's just as wrong for people to use terms like Me-Mac and all that other ridiculous nonsense. Doesn't surprise me, though- that's the way of things. So be it. I'm just not used to the name-calling, especially from Fran. But then, they say the average newspaper in the U.S. is written at a 7th grade level, so maybe this is part of Fran's approach- 7th grade diction, 7th grade compositional techniques, 7th grade mentality.
I agree, if it's this bad, the organization needs to do something immediately. Sometimes too much information takes the fun out of everything.....with the internet nowadays, it's hard to enjoy the team's success without reading about all the shannanigans that are going on behind the scenes.
