This, fans, is why we should not take his blog seriously. Or even remotely close to serious. It's all his opinion. He could say Steve Novak revealed to him that he purposefully missed shots so Rockets would lose. He could probably get away with that, without a libel/slander charge. How hard is it for him to say "unknown player" said "blah blah blah." Way to show credibility. Never reading his horse**** again.
I'm surprised that Clutch hasn't weighed in on this - so I'll say something. It's so much worse than what Blinebury says in his blog, it's funny. Blinebury gets it wrong because he just doesn't care that much. He has opinion and he writes that. The ironic thing here is that he is UNDERSHOOTING it. The Artest situation is part Ron BUT....Adelman's staff is so lax in their structure. They play a much bigger part than is being said. Adelman and TMac don't see eye to eye but it's not over what you think. I'll say this - TMac has his vision of the team and what needs to be done...and that is the SECOND biggest battle on the squad. I promise you - it's FAR worse than what's being said. But it will be said eventually. Keep your eyes open and focused on Yao Ming.
Man......seems like Blindbury would be better off not saying anything about it. Just adding fuel to the fire for the fans. It kinda makes sense if he is overdoing it, simply for the story aspect. But to undershoot it seems like a different kinda smokescreen.
Ugh.....maybe it is a revolt against Adelman and company, or as I said earlier, it is a changing of the guard, and Yao is taking over the leadership and Tmac is not happy about it, or has Yao finally had it with Tmac.... DD
Undershooting, but, second, far. Hmm? That last part about Yao sound worrying. 1)Another injury? 2)A power struggle that will be won by whoever Yao sides with? 3)He's getting traded?
So, second biggest battle is over we run a continuity offense or have TMac be the "point forward" directing traffic. Biggest battle is Yao Ming sick of TMac being flakey. He has decided to leave Tracey for Ron. TMac is getting iso'ed by Yao?
So why not just let the cat out of the bag? I'm tired of all this speculation and hear say. Obiously you have inside knowledge so let's have it.
So what t-mac is tanking games just to get his vision or is he really playing out his vision by the way he has been playing so far.
Obviously he won't or else he would've already. I still think Blinebury's blog entry was terrible. But the more disappointing thing is if it turns out to be all true, and the Rockets don't get their act together.
DocRocket, You verify what I suspect---Yao's body language says so much, and his comments lately, while veiled, give us a peek of what's up---but it would be nice if you gave us more than these hints. Understandable why you don't, but---something?
Why do you have to talk in riddles? What is "It"? I"ll play along though. I think we are seeing a Kobe/Shaq thing here. Kobe felt Shaq dominated the offense too much and figured he'll never blossom under a low post centric offense. Nevermind that they never really liked each other. Kobe was younger and Jerry Buss said himself he wanted to go back to more of a Showtime style of offense, so adios Shaq. TMac probably feels like the Rockets are becoming too low post centric and too predictable and stagnant on offense. Or maybe it's me cause that's what I see. Sure Yao is the best low post big man in the NBA, but dumping to him down low isn't exactly an automatic 2 point. In fact I think we burn up alot of the shot clock with the posting and reposting and trying to get the ball to Yao, by the time they realize Yao can't get the ball or Yao doesn't have a good shot and has to pass out again, the shot clock is winding down and someone has to chuck a hurried shot. Is Tracy trying to make Adelman choose between him and Yao on how the offense should be tailored to? Dunno.
Yao isn't the only one that bogs down the offense peep what rafer said http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/Bal...-296192-34.html “With him in or out of the lineup, the chemistry has always been here on this team,” explained Rafer Alston, who stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. “That’s one thing I’ve been happy to be a part of ever since I arrived here is that, no matter what happens, we’re a together group and we’re happy to pull for each other. “But the continuity part, the cohesiveness on the court, it fluctuates from game to game. One game it’s playing all-out energy and then the next night the ball doesn’t move, our bodies don’t move. We understand that Tracy’s going through an injury and can’t get up and down like he wants to. But when he comes back, I think Tracy is smart enough to understand that we’re playing quick and we’re playing efficient. For a guy like him who can flat-out score the ball, I think he’ll have to understand that he just needs to come in, play quick and utilize us. Then, late in the game or in the second half, if we need him we can always go to him.”
ok, so do all of you that were talking crap about fran and insulting him, calling him a hack, saying he was lying . . . do all of you believe it now? is this what it takes for you to see that fran isnt lying, but really informing you, for the first time publically, about how dysfunctional the team is becoming? but no, let's shoot the messenger. because that's what intelligent, informed rockets' fans do apparently.
I think some folks would rather not believe that their favorite team is breaking apart, something I can certainly understand. All of us are Rocket fans, I think we are just going to have to sit back and let it all play out.....and hope for the best. So sad....a promising season broken apart by jealousy and pettiness..... DD
I think Tracy holding the ball during the Toronto game and those other games was his way of making a point. Whatever point that was, cause he didn't put himself in a good light was my conclusion to it. And excuse me if I take some mysterious poster that talks in riddles with a grain of salt also. Both Doc Rocket and Blinebury are just surface pecking, whether that's the farthest they can go with their "investigation", or just won't reveal more then what they really know. Pardon me while I lean towards the former.
