I don't have to say any names. I'm a front of the jersey guy also and anyone can get gone for me. I'm just saying that Marion and Blount for Mcgrady gives the rox a player that moves , never gets hurt, brings it every night and fits what adelman wants to do. That would work. If he's such a cancer, why not make that trade? Kidd and shaq has been traded multiple times. Shaq was pounting and chose to get surgery late and kidd, we know how his situations end. Trade the guy and move on. That's my stance and has been Like I continue to repeat, the gm has to be able to trade anyone. If your not, you need to quit.
exactly, if the situation is that bad, i'm sure morey can pull of that trade. marion has been a disaster in miami averaging career lows all across the board. and i'm sure miami would do that trade knowing tmac's contract goes off in 2010.
I agree, if Morey decides to do that deal, then I am all for it. However, if Morey thinks that they can get Tmac right, then I am all for that too. I do think they need to address the issue though...having it splashed all over the papers is HORRIBLE all the way around. DD
Exactly what I'm talking about, a bad case of the denials. Just one question for you? How many posters of Tracy do you have up on your wall? I bet you even have one of his in Orlando. BTW in over 15years, I've watched all but about 20 games. I don't miss many. I know the Rockets Organization tells us he's in the back but is he really? I guess he's on the tread mill. ugh rehabbing? There's s reason he won't face the fans, too many tough question and remarks. And yes I've heard that first hand from someone in the Rockets organization. Don't be scared, this team will become overachievers if Tracy wasn't around, They would play with heart and as a team. Everyone loves to bring up the 22 game winning streak as if Tracy did it all on his own. Yao played for almost half of that run and there was a team, a team that apparently has given up on Tracy. I'd rather go down fighting as a team than have our all-star disappear in the 4th. It's also funny that some love to give Tracy props for that Jazz series, when in my opinion it just showed how weak Tracy really is.
like i said, if morey traded tracy right now, i wouldn't question morey and continue to support the team. i'm defending tracy b/c of posters' illogical assumptions of what is going on in the locker room.
Don't really know how losing to Utah without yao is showing how weak he is. Also you've been watching since 94, I've been watching since 77, what's the point? The organization has trade the 2 best players in the history of the franchise in moses and dream, so if they got the nuts, trade him. Playing with heart and over achieve is what this team has done since tracy and yao has been together because they didn't have a lot of talent. Say what you want, I don't buy jersey's or posters and I'm a business man. If I was morey and I have the pulse of the lockeroom and its like everyone says it is, trade him. The marion deal I proposed makes sense, the harrington deal does too. Its not that hard, believe me.
exactly. if they want to trade tracy, it's not that hard. it's only hard if morey expects another all-star in return, which i think even he knows that's impossible. you take back a big contract if you give up another big contract.
The problem with realistically trading Tmac is that there are not that many big contracts out there. And even if Tmac is on the bench, the team can compete....for the playoffs with Battier, Artest, Barry and Wafer on the wings. So, you don't trade a possible valuable contract for NOTHING you have to do it to help the team THIS year. Or you sit it out, and hit it fresh next year....you know a TMac contract year...wach his injuries magically dissappear then... LOL. DD
Ok, I asked Fran, and this was his response about the context... -------------------------------------------------------------- Fran, As you know, context means everything, when you said. "I'll toss a coin and let you know if I'm playing," said one Rocket, chuckling and shaking his head about 90 minutes before the Knicks' game. What context was the player referencing, what was the question asked etc. Because it could have been a joke, or something more seious, what did you think the player meant by it? Thanks, DD [No question was asked. He just said it. If you read the blog, you know that I said many players have gone beyond anger and are openly joking as a way to handle their disdain for the whole situation. --Fran] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just as many of us have said. DD
Come playoff time, all the excuse makers for tmac are going to be making the same excuses when he's still sitting. If we even make it. Tmac should just come clean and take the fire. We would all respect him more; so would his teamates. It drives me nuts how people think that all these writers and analysts and newspapers can just crap out these quotes and articles about Tmac. Wow. Denial is an issue.
Don't be an idiot. This team has had plenty of games to show they don't need Tracy McGrady, since McGrady has been here. Their record is terrible. So now, because you declare it, they will become overachievers? Give us a break, please. This is professional basketball, not Hollywood's Hoosiers. It takes talent to win. There's no Jimmy Chitwood walkin' through that door.
DD- It doesn't have to be 1big contract, it can be 2 mid sized ones. I keep bringing this up with Marion. If he gets the same 13 shots, he's going to sore 17ppg ad grab 9-10 rebs, a steal and a half, blk and a half, run the floor, cut without the ball, defend and play hard. we know what Marion does. He has 17m as a contract. The over the cap deal says the rox have to the the heat have to be within 15% of tracy's salary. That's roughly 18m of tracy's deal. They could throw in Magloire or Diawara or even wright and the deal is done. Marion would be a good fit if nothing else he plays very, very hard and in the offseason you could sign and trade him if need be. Grab em and make it happen, then maybe we can start talking basketball again.
While I agree that McGrady needs to get that Kobe Bryant killer instinct and desire to win, I don't buy the "fractured lockerroom" talk. That lockerroom is WAY to strong for that. And saying that Artest is back to his "old tricks" because he sat out a few games to heal an injury that DOCTORS told him not to play on is simply bad journalism.
They talk about the Rox lockerrom, how would you like to be in La's lockerroom with Shaq and kobe? What about last summer when Kobe said he didn't have enough to win. What about Pierce saying he was just another great player on a bad team? Mcgrady hasn't been the best, but there have been guy like kobe who have thrown everyone under the L-train.
This must be a room full of Stacy Mcpuss lovers! Fran is telling the truth, and you Mcpuss lovers know it!
