Don't forget the tougher obstacles of real life: Russell experienced institutional racism growing up and many basketball players and coaches had to work in the off season just to make a living for example.

The standard of living of an NBA bench player dwarfs the star lifestyle of Russell's time.

Very good FG% for that era believe it not. You were good even if you shot sub 40%. That was how pitiful offenses were back then.

What is he making up? That guys back then weren't measured in shoes like that are listed today (even though they are measured in socks at the combine)? This only comes up when folks try to argue that guys back then (ie Russell) were undersized.

Ben Wallace was vote the leagues most valuable player by his peers multiple times?

Nope...was at a banquet with standing less than 3 feet away while he spoke to Rudy Gay. Nice try though. However, your pictures might convince me I am wrong on what I saw with my own eyes.

Pretty much everything. Yes, I don't believe his bullsh-t about heights being underreported and neither should anybody, because there is no evidence that it's true.

Of course, evidence never stopped you from creating your own reality, so you're a good audience for him, not so much for me. :)

I'm not trying to convince you. You are the one mentioning something that goes against the listed heights and all the physical evidence everyone else can see for themselves.

I ask again, are you sure you weren't looking at Morgan Freeman?

It's pretty clear that Russell's taller than 6'7".

I think Russell and Hakeem are the best defensive centers of all time. I think Hakeem's offense was better than Russell's. That being said, at age 20 Russell was 10 light years ahead of Hakeem in maturity (game and personality) and hence he has 11 rings.
