Man, I"m trying not to get my expectations too high for this movie, but they're making it so hard. Every piece of information we get about the flick has just made it seem cooler and cooler. As for Liam Neeson's acting, maybe the single best performance I've ever seen on stage was Liam Neeson as John Proctor in The Crucible. I actually went to the play to see Laura Linney (she played Goody Proctor), and Neeson made me forget she was even on stage. He was just riveting -- it was a truly incredible performance. But yeah, his "old wise man" character is getting old.
I think Liam Neeson is basass also. Loved him in Rob Roy before I ever saw Shindler's List (and loved him in that). Didn't realize he was in this too. I've been losing interest in the Batman series until I saw this -- this looks really different and intriguing.
i suppose if you make a movie enough times, maybe one day you'll get a decent one the trailer looks nice, but i'll wait to here what they are saying about the full movie
An early draft leaked and got universal raves. I didn't read it cause I don't want to be spoiled. But yeah, they apparently took a lot from Year One. More from there than from anywhere else.
Ok, not everything, but it seems you have a negative or pessimistic view on lots of things. Maybe it's just my perception, but whenever somebody starts a thread that praises something, whether it be hot chick, a new album, a tv show, or a movie, I usually expect you to show up and take the opposite view. Maybe you just dislike a lot of the things I like? As for Year One, I think we get to see Batman tackle the corruption in Gotham like in Year One, but it can't be the main plot since he's got to deal with Ra's and Scarecrow.
