I loved it, and I called it in other thread that he will get all the back up minutes. He came up big and his presence was huge.

If he had connected on that slam the place would've gone crazy. Bright future from the kid once he gains some muscle mass

What is amazing is that he was like a deer in headlight just few games ago;)

Really like what he can bring. This offseason needs to work on his bulk and FT %

Definitely. Dude was so gassed at that point. Great showing from the rook. I'd like to see more of Capela and Jones as he was mostly paired with Smith tonight.

Milk hair doing work on the rotations. It took guts to put the rookie out there like that.

Great move by McHale to place Capela finally in that back up role. He's still raw but a better player than Dorsey.

Props to McHale for not sticking with the script. He deserves credit for giving Capela a chance and the Rockets reaped a reward tonight.

If Capela can give the Rockets 10-15 mins/game at backup C, they might be OK with D-Mo.

Really if you were expecting more from Capela you need to readjust your expectations. He was a terrific backup center.

He still looks kind of lost on defense and gives up baskets he should be in better position to contest...

That's the main drawback of putting him in there. He just hasn't played enough with the team this year to really be comfortable defensively.

His first game as a Rocket was horrendous. He looked like a complete scrub. Glad McHale stuck with him.

He'll get more comfortable as the series progresses, but I want to see how he does in Dallas' arena. Nothing like showing out in a hostile environment to prove you've progressed.

He has got to work on his endurance and bulk up soon but otherwise, he was a key performer. Gave us rim protection and helped on the boards.

    Future is bright for him.

I'm sure Dallas will exploit this harder in the next game.
