    nope, no contract.

i know they're not great phones, but believe me, they're miles ahead of my old phone- a crappy flip phone that is at least 6-8+ years old.

I know your return period is ending soon, so do yourself a favor: return the Samsung Admire. If you plan on keeping the phone for any length of time, you're gonna hate that device. Given all the choices on the MetroPCS website (I assume you're using them because you want cheap, no-contract phones), I highly suggest you spring for the LG Motion at $99. Yes, it costs more. But it has a much stronger processor (1.2Ghz dual core vs. 800 Mhz single core), newer OS (Ice Cream Sandwich vs. Gingerbread), better camera, bigger battery (1700 vs. 1600 mAh), much more internal storage (5GB vs a laughable 148MB), and supports the faster 4G LTE connectivity. It's just a more future-proof phone than the Amire.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't plan on keeping this phone for long to be honest. I might replace it during black friday if it gives me problems. Like I said, it only cost me $25, and does everything I need - call, text, and wi fi.

so my return ends tomorrow, and looks like i'm sticking with this one since they ran out of the lg optimus m + , which apparently isn't much better anyways, so whatever.

off topic, will this case protect my phone from the screen cracking / getting scratches?

With the merger of MetroPCS and Tmobile, why not switch to Tmobile?

    BUMPING THIS OLD THREAD

Did a factory reset on my phone.

Before doing so I removed the SD card and didn't put it back in until everything was back and running again.

I can access my files on the SD card, but when I go to Settings > Apps and click on an App, the option to move it to the SD card is grayed out and I can't select it. This is happening for pre-installed Apps and new Apps; I have no idea why it won't let me move the new apps over.

My phone only has 16GB of storage so I need to be able to move apps onto there.

Is there some kind of settings I have to change in order for that to happen?

For reference I have a BLU Vivo XL

Uses Opera if you sticking with an out dated phone. It doesn't take a lot of bandwidth and us pretty lite and quick.

OK well I was able to move a new app to the SD card (a game). After reading around I guess there are just certain apps that cannot be moved.

    And I am using Opera

Do you have or save everything to a Google + account backup? I was able to reload every app, pictures, etc just from my Google + account when I bought a new phone that didn't have a Sim card.

The App has to be written to take advantage of the ability to move to SD. Not every app does this, and it's a way to vote with your feet, so to speak.
