the ads are completely out of control. i dont know a generally free service, that after paying for, gives you even more ads, outside of clutchfans. ridiculous pop-up ads, it's seriously a ghetto p*rn site at this point. please get it together.
The mobile version is completely unusable. Not that anyone is worried about my $50 a year, but it’s really not worth paying for at this point. I enjoy this site and I use it a decent amount, but it’s unconscionable how absurd the ad spamming has become. It truly has become worse since I started supporting.
ya i try not to check the bbs from the phone for the same reason. an ad-free clutchfans app w/ monthly fee would be much better
I still get ads even though I'm a Contributing Member on my smartphone. I don't see the point in being a Contributing Member really. Didn't even get help when I requested support on my @London'sBurning account and @RocktheCasbah and those were Contributing Member accounts too. All I was asking for in terms of support was assistance to be able to use them again as I had set up 2FA on both, and one doesn't get sent an email code and the other uses Google 2FA but I got a new smartphone and didn't port over that 2FA account to the new one. Subsequently can't log in to either. I had requested over a period of months in emails some assistance but got not reply as I had decided to take a break from posting during this past Lent and when I tried to login on LB, I couldn't. You'd thinking paying for something would yield a service in these types of matters but it seems not.
