Dude the championship logo and colors are classic, all my new era rockets hats that actually look good are the old logos. Tell me of one good looking fitted hat made with the Rockets current logo. The colors are boring....yes...our current uniforms problem is that it is very forgettable. The old Rockets jerseys are feared and remembered with greatness.
I like the black jersey with the red stripes idea. They should have a black jersey as alternate.. the red road jerseys aren't that bad. I like them better than the home jerseys. They should definitely change the cut of the jersey.. like have it narrower around the shoulders and go with a more matte, mesh-y material rather than the shiny glittery material.
What? And a solid jersey with 2 small stripes on the trim isn't forgettable? The only think unique about the "classic" unis was the use of random lower case letters. Even the font and numbers were pretty generic. Regardless of whether you like them or not, the current unis are more distinctive and unique than the old ones.
Agreed. The only thing the old uniforms have going for them is nostalgia and the connection to the championships. Red/yellow (aka mustard/ketchup) is a hideous color combo, and the uniforms and logo both were very boring and overly simple.
I just wish they'd take out one of the arches on the sides of the shorts and on the shoulders of our current uni's and the ugly v-neck ruins them for me along with the ugly font. When I say our old uniforms look better, I'm talking about the updated classics we used to wear when Tracy was healthy.

I truly miss the championship jerseys and it's not because of nostalgia. Its simplicity and boldness is what makes them so fantastic. I'm somewhat jealous of the Celtics. They've had the same legit jerseys for decades, with only minor tweaks. Could you imagine them doing something like this? Yuck. Yea, the current jerseys were an upgrade over the pajamas, but deep down inside, I feel that the HOUStOn ROCKetS were the best. Yes, the lowercase letters were unique and brilliant. And the ketchup/mustard was not hideous. There was barely any mustard on the jerseys, just the right amount.
