really? I like it, I go there after I get off of work, usually there between 11pm-12:30am. Haven't been in a week since I was sick and had foot issues, but starting again tomorrow. The only setback, its the "Shaq" one, but no flipping basketball court.... lame, I did see Shaq there 2 summers ago.
They need to have some more Planet Fitness open up around town. $10 a month, too good a deal to pass up for a simple, clean gym.
Nothing is worse than the Meyerland location. First off they used to turn off the AC completely after 10 during the summer. You would roll up and the windows would be all steamed up. Nothing is maintained well. Once in November I called to complain about the water fountain being broken for 2 months. The manager told me they have spent their 2009 budget and would have to wait until 2010 came to be able to fix it.
There's 2 that I know of and been to. One @ 90 and Dairy Ashford - now this one is small, ghetto, and I dealt with the douche-iest of douches salesguy when I first went to sign up. Don't ever go there. The one a few blocks away off 59 near Williams Trace is pretty decent. Two stories, fairly clean, not a lot of weights but tons of cardio, which I never used. This is is acceptable, I think.
But you gotta deal with guys like this <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/zzKSfcBIHRs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
They closed the one on Dairy Ashford. So imagine all the filth and ghettoness of that one shoved into the one off 59. They have mold everywhere, and the pool is literally green most of the time. Half the machines look like the ones lifetime thew out. Many of them still have scraped off lifetime stickers on it.
