you can not win with a big i am sorry its not about bigs anymore its about speed youth fast Point guard Shooting Gaurd and Small forwards with wingspan I am sorry I need a good Point gaurd like a Cade or a Suggs or a Green someone that will work its not about size anymore its about that step out shoot the 3 bigs stretch 4s that can shoot the 3 and defend its not about banging down low in the post no more.

Generally this line of thinking is fine for the present day NBA but Mobley is a different breed man. You don't see this kind of defensive talent come through the pipeline hardly ever. He has generational defensive ability; switchable, rim protection, absurd instincts. He also has real talent offensively but is a little more raw on that end. He can pass, gets to the line at a great rate and has good shooting form/potential (70% from the stripe his freshman year).

I think he is the pick over Green but honestly I'd be happy with either.

I agree. I’d even love an Embiid level talent.
But I’m convinced that Mobley is far from it.

it’s a lot of talk about Ayton but DBook is the star of that team.

    Give me Green lol.

I just remember wood getting torched by AD, Mobley needs to be the defensive anchor of this team but also he has potential to be the next Hakeem offensively

Olynyk is a FA and Wood is signed for 2 more years. There is no guarantee that he resigns with the Rockets if he has multiple suitors. Mobley is a modern big that can protect the rim and shoot from all 3 levels, and be a secondary playmaker. He's a Wood starter kit on offense that is already an elite defender capable of switching on the perimeter.

Only the Clippers don't really have a big on their team of the remaining playoff teams remaining. So bigs while not the focus are still important to playoff success.

A Capela or Jarret Allen type can be the anchor. Kind of like those Dallas years where Tyson Chandler was holding down the fort for Dirk, Jason Terry, Shawn Marion and the crew. Those type of bigs can be picked up later in the draft even second round with good scouts.

Lebron is a big, he is 6'8. KD is a big, he is 6'10. Kawhi? Also 6'8.

Can you guarantee Green is the superstar on this draft? We really cant its hard to say with guards. But with bigs the potential they are always gone in the top of the draft thats why we take Evan Mobley. Evan can play PF you can still get thar defensive minded C at 24.
