Funny how you go back to bashing the guy after he helped us win the game? Without him, we would have lost. He also hit a clutch three, much overdue, but it was there in the clutch. His three was there in the clutch, his assist, decision making, HE was there in the clutch. Ease off him, just because he's slumping from outside, he's doing the little things right. Hell we'd be 2-2.

I'd love to see Terence Morris get minutes...

but anyone that thinks that Dan Langhi is even in the same hemisphere as Walt Williams is deluding himself. Walt can put it on the floor, Walt can rebound (better than everyone on this team, other than Eddie, Kevin and Steve Francis), Walt can shoot the two, etc.

Walt is just another victim of being a 3 point cog for a team that already has penetrators. When he puts it on the floor, he's money from the ft line or so. He just has to get in the groove. I don't know about you guys, but if I play ball, I get in the groove by running around and shooting shots, not by standing in place. Standing in place is boring.... particularly if you've just had a quad mocha, ooops gotta go!!!! as;dlkfja;lksdjfa, z./cmvz;klsdufalksdjl; whw

btw, even w/ my props to Walt I have to give it up for TMO!!!!!

Personally, I don't want one dimensional players like Rice or Walt. I don't care if my 3 can't shoot the 3. If anyone has ever watched Grant Hill, they know he can't shoot it, but he gets to the rack and will kill you from midrange. We need that slashing 6'8 man more than a stand still type. I watched Kobe drop 38 last night, and i don't think he a 3 the whole game. If you can get to the rack, or pull up from 16ft on a regular basis, who cares about a 3 pt shot. Thats the way I want Morris to develop, not just a stand still spot up shooter like the two we have now.

You can say Glen and Walt suck if you want, but you can't accuse them of being one-dimensional. Do you even watch the games? Just because they're not the most athletic, does that mean they're one dimensional? They certainly need to shoot better, at least Glen does. But be fair. Playing the 3 for the Rockets means being able to knock down a set 3 from the perimeter after a dish from the guards. That's just part of the job description for the position. You got a problem with that, with them hanging on the perimeter waiting for a dish, take it up with Rudy T, but don't knock the players for it.

If you don't think Walt and Rice are one dimensional, you must don't watch the games. I do have a problem with the offensive movement, but if Francis and Mobley can run in and get rebounds, those two should be able too. Neither plays good D, and neither brings anything if they aren't hitting their open shots. Is there a problem? Sure, because it was a series of possesion when we needed the rebound that neither Walt nor Rice could/would get to. If Rice gets us 12pts per, what was the difference than when we had SA? I just hope Morris progresses and becomes a all around player instead of a "specialist" like Rice and Walt

That was r****deed leeb - you tried to compare walt or rice to KOBE? or grant HILL? You're comparing them to proven all stars.. hell, David Robinson is one-dimensional. Look at SHAQ leading his team to the chmapionship year after year, why cant ROBINSON do that??? Walt and Rice are ROLE players. Don't compare them to all-stars, they aren't all stars and aren't expected to be. That had to be the dumbest comparison, saying they're one dimensional and then saying how Hill and Kobe arent? Come on now...

I'm not comparing either one of those scrubs to Hill, McGrady, or Kobe, thats not even close, but does anyone remember Mario Elie? Mario's job was the same , but at least he pump faked and went to the rack for the floater or finished in the lane. Whats so hard about that? Fill the lane, hit the open shot, and sometimes put the ball on the floor and get a better shot closer if you're struggling which they both are. wasn't it Rudy and some of the other homers saying Rice was our best post up? Wasn't someone saying he can put the ball on the floor? I watch more basketball than you can imagine and I've been watching Rice since he came into the league and I've seen a rapid decline in his game since his 27ppg avg a couple of yrs ago.

We're are not asking him to be that player he used to be, if he can only be the one that avg 17ppg with the Lakers 2 seasons ago people will get off his back, but right now he's looking like the mirror of walt. A slow footed, no defense playing, spot up shooter that can't hit a J. I know its early, but from the games I've been watching on league pass, every game is very important. I mean, we only have 1 advantage against other teams and thats Francis. As good as Mobley played last night, he and Penny played to a draw. Thats how tough it will be on us night in night out and if you look at the schedule after we play denver and philly, it egts down right brutal. His problem and Walt's problem can't snowball and we keep expecting him to just snap out of it. I've said it before, Richard Hidalgo stayed in a slump the entire year, so don't think a player can't slump the whole yr. Hell, look at Baker and Kemp and they still haven't snapped out of it.
