Currently being blown out by the Knicks. I love this so much. I don't care if we don't need their swap this year.
If they miss the playoffs then you can add their miniscule percentage of winning the lotto to our odds. So it's not completely worthless. The 10th worst team has a 2.5% chance to win the lottery for example, so that means the Rockets would be at 14.0 + 2.5 = 16.5% for the #1 seed, better than any other team.
Fire Vaughn… he should be winning look at all that talent over there … Or Atleast that’s how a lot of posters on here think
Lost 4 in a row and 2-8 in the last 10. Role players are great but without a star you are lottery bound.
The Kevin Martin Rockets and the Pre-Harden Rockets were all over .500 with role-players, so I thought that the Nets could replicate something like that...turns out, maybe we had something a little special after all. I wonder how the Nets will look next year
Ashley never fails! We need a “Rockets won’t land Wemby” reverse jinx! Maybe you can team up in a joint post with DD?
Not to be that guy, but the actual odds would be slightly lower, 16.15% Can't add percentages together when it's two separate chances. It's a 14% chance then a 2.5% chance, not a 14% chance plus a 2.5% chance
Not a joke. Legit question 100% What if the Rockets are not able to utilize their cap space? Either they send Bridges with, (may be unlikely) or they send a few picks. A pick from the Mavs & Suns is interesting.
Simmons is broken. He's just a cap hold and it makes no sense to wrap up 37Ms next year on this guy regardless of how much space you have and how enticing the return package could be we have picks galore as it is. Nets arent parting with Bridges that is their only bright spot. There are decent enough vets available next season that can actually still play basketball to reach the salary floor.
The Nets may look bad, but Bridges and Johnson still look good. I'd definitely consider a trade for them, and the Nets may be desperate.
Some of these recent Nets losses are just brutal. The Knicks and especially the Bulls loss show that as a new group they are highly inconsistent and perhaps they will fail hard through to the end of the season.
They have a real chance of falling out of the playoff picture. KD/Kyrie had them 10 games above .500 before the trades!
It might be too late for Brooklyn's recent collapse to benefit us this season, but this bodes extremely well for us next year. They have an extreme lack of playmakers and creators. Mikal Bridges is a fine player, but he can't be the best player by far on a competitive team. I doubt they'll be able to address their shortcomings during the offseason.
