Yup. I know they have Blake, but this is what worried me. Even before the signing of Blake, I thought LA would make a run at Lowry.
This X10, luckily he isn't their type of point gaurd. Definitely a set up man but Lowry isn't gonna knock down that open J in a triangle O so I think we're good.
I agree. They failed to lure any of the big name free agents and the guys they have sign they've overpaid for. However, with the addition of Avery Johnson as coach and these guys replacing the guys they've lost - I think they'll be an improved team. Not that it's hard to improve on what they did last season.
They can't offer him match since they used most of their mid level on Blake. But back to the Nets. Whats up with them using cap space on Travis Outlaw and Jordan Farmer. With these moves they act like they are only a few pieces from contending or something. They imo are making the same mistake that the Pistons did last year. If you strike out on this year top free agents you can wait til next year.
Nothing like the Pistions at all. Detroit gave out a max to Gordon and another large contract to Charlie V. Nets are so far under the cap they're still under the league's minimum payroll.
$11 million a year on Travis Outlaw and Jordan Farmar is crazy. One guy is among the dumbest players in the NBA and the other was basically a 3rd string PG behind Derek Fisher and Shannon Brown. They will probably offer Scola $65 million over 5 years.
