So wtf!? Did he sign that just cause he got scared when the Rockets pulled their offer?

Sounds like it. His guaranteed money between the Nets' offer sheet and the contract the Rockets pulled is about the same -- if DMo had signed it when the Rox originally offered it, and considering state income tax in New York.

Or he signed, and now there is no more TEAM option late in free agency, so he is a complete UFA if the Rockets don't pick up year 2.

Giving him another chance to be a UFA......it is actually perfect for the Rockets, gives them the flexibility they want next year if DMo doesn't fit etc.

He may have passed the physical, but Brooklyn didn't offer much to be such a bad team in need. I will be highly surprised if Morey doesn't match. Expect to see DMo on the court sometime next week in a Rocket's uni.

Man for a player that dadokta and basketballholic and others have said is perfectly healthy, this deal gives the team a ton of protection against injury. Can get out of year 1, year 2, 3 and 4 lol.

He's guaranteed less money in this deal than the rockets offer of 8 million.

Only $5M is guaranteed, due upon signing. Then in January we have to decide whether to let DMo go or keep him and guarantee the remained of this year's salary.

Weirdest business decision ever, but I'm glad he'll be back.

Yeah but has holic even confirmed Woj's report yet? Maybe Woj is wrong and the offer is 4/60 like Holic said it would be.

4/37? Only 1 year guaranteed? That's a no brainer. Match that. And I was already contend with him getting 4/60 and leaving.

Dmo got owned lmao. Basically $9 million a year with only 1 year guaranteed. Even if it was 2 years guaranteed I'd still match. This is an easy decision. $9 million a year is nothing in this new cap.

To me, you should have already crunched the numbers and made your decision, so I would match immediately or wait to keep him away from the Nets.

Dmo needs to fire his agent immediately. But hey, I'll take it :)

Match the deal and move forward. The front court so desperately needs depth and DMO adds so much if healthy. He should thrive under MDA as a Boris Diaw type of player.

I would be very surprised if the Rockets don't match given that there is no risk with matching.
