Unbelievable that this guy was the #1 pick in 2013. What a bust. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/17077485/brooklyn-nets-sign-ex-no-1-pick-anthony-bennett
And 2nd yr is not guaranteed. And from the Nets!! Who have no problems spending a lot of money. You gotta admit, if it happened here, we'd be saying "Great low risk, high reward signing." sigh
I doubt it. For anyone else, yes but for Bennett ? There is no reward. Twolves,Cavaliers,Raptors ... Even when he got drafted no one thought he was going to be a star.
Crazy to think about the Cavs gave up two #1 picks for Kevin Love. Anthony Bennett was such a horrible pick is didn't really seem that way. Bennett getting picked number one was the worst thing for his career.
This prompted me to look up Greg Oden and see what he's been up to. Enrolled at Ohio State for the fall semester as a "student manager" for the program
terrible draft in general. will even one person from the lottery in that draft make one all star game in his career? CJ McCollum might have a chance i guess.
I mean was it really that hard to know he was going to be a bust. I never thought he was good. Why was he drafted 1st overall?
Greg Oden at least was extremely talented, just couldn't stay healthy. Bennett has no talent (relative to the NBA).
I disagree, I think him being the 1# overall pick is the only reason he's still in the league and getting contracts, teams think he must have some sort of potential since he went that high. If he was a 2nd rounder his ass would have been out of the nba after his first season.
