Firstly, I think Sam Mitchell has done a great job this season. But is anyone mystified by his playing rotations in the first half? Especially with T.J. and Chris Bosh. Why did T.J. sit so long during the 2nd quarter after scorching the Nets in the 1st quarter? I know Bosh had two fouls, but it's clear to me the main reason the Raptors are down 10 is because Bosh didn't play enough. Sure Richard Jefferson and Kidd were great, but I think Mitchell should get a lot of the blame for the big deficit. If VC's shot were on, this game would be a borderline blowout.
i think mostly tj's minutes were limited because calderon deserves pt. i agree with you though. if tj's keeping you in the game then his backup can sit.
