I’m not asking for the #1 and not even thinking of it as a possibility. Just take a couple swings at combo guard instead of star chasing older players with picks

Fred is a bottom 3 point guard and probably wouldn’t start on any other team. Amen is not a guard and Reed has been very underwhelming. Go draft a couple guards and try to clean this embarrassment of rotation up

I don’t buy that the “majority” believes this. Again, every article I’ve read seems aggregated. It feels like a situation where a few executives communicated their feelings, which got published and then aggregated, making it seem like a far greater number of executives have expressed the same concerns. Happens all the time in “modern” journalism.

The consensus is that the top 4 players in the most recent draft are all better than the top prospect in this draft. Wagler, Mikel Brown Jr and Darius Acuff are similar prospects to the top 4 guys in the 2027 draft.

It's not a good draft. Sometimes players come out of nowhere and surprise. Wagler wasn't even top 100 at this time last year.

Again I hope it is a great draft because of our picks but we can only go based off of what we know as of right now. As of right now, this is looking like a 2024 Draft level of talent.

It doesn't matter...Stone sucks at drafting players. If we don't land a top 3 pick next year he might as well trade the picks because Stone is not great at evaluating talent.

He just drafts with the consensus at the top of the first round. He's picked the consensus guy every year. I guess in 2021 and 2024 it was close enough you could have gone either way, but he still wasn't doing anything outlandish.

So I guess just hope that whoever is the consensus BPA among draft analysts actually is that guy. Sometimes that's the case... sometimes it's not.

Easy to say things like this, harder to back it up. In 2024, the two top picks were meh international prospects. Reed was a four star recruit, Edey a three star. This class, as projected, looks nothing like that.

I almost never want to trade potential lotto picks, but I’ve been bullish on trading those 2027 picks because I just don’t think they’re very valuable. I wanted to trade them to get into the 2026 lotto. Now that the draft is over I’m okay trading them for a young prospect. Just do t think we’re gonna have a great outcome going into 2027 with those picks. 2028 draft supposed to be underwhelming as well :(
