Whoa! Is Prohkorov paying AK extra through under the table Russian mob channels?

man, that's a bummer; I would've been more than happy to pay him the full MLE for 3 years, with the 3rd year being a team option. Why would he opt out of 10M guaranteed in MIN for that? Really doesn't make any sense

We don't have the full MLE.

    He obviously made a mistake.

Brooklyn has lots of old and overrated talent and a first year coach. They will be an interesting team to fight it out with another old team that has no where to go but down, the Knicks.

The Knicks will respond by signing/claiming Metta World Peace.

They are going to have a ridiculous tax bill. They still won't go anywhere in the playoffs.

Yeah he has to be paying him on the side in Russia...or will be after he retires. That contract makes zero sense for him considering what he opted out of.

He turned down $10M for this... There are bad decisions, horrible decisions, then this.

Nets owner Prokhorov is willing to go over the cap and pay luxury tax to sign veterans. Les is not willing to go over the cap.

I think Nets have a $98 million payroll, and will pay $70 million in luxury tax this season.

    Williams
    Johnson/Terry
    Pierce/Kirilenko
    Garnett/Evens
    Lopez/Blatche

Pretty hardcore roster, no chemistry though so dont think they'll make any noise in the playoffs

Bonzi Wells turned down a 5 year, $35M extension offered by the Kings. Ended up signing a $3M/year deal with the Rockets.

Yeah.....I see second round exit there. Lots of former chiefs that will need to play indians.
