If they know what's good for them, they'll bring in a coach that could co-exist with Kidd. I don't see Mike "Micro-Manage" Fratello being that person. In fact, I don't see anyone outside of Phil Jackson getting respect from Kidd.

Anyone think that there might be a fire sale since the team is in lame-duck land? Kidd could still draw heavy trade interest despite the fact that his knee is likely going to be operated on by summer.....

The owners who are suffering from lame duck status effectively won't care...as they won't be the owners anymore once the team is sold. So effectively the Ratner group will own the Nets prior to their move to Brooklyn, provided the deal goes through.

Jeff Fisher made it through as a coach of a nomad team for a while, that's the only example that I can think of.

At least they shot the horse and put him out of his misery.

I'm not saying I'm glad he was fired, but I am a little surprised. Obviously it was a matter of time after Kidd shunned his coach last summer and in the Finals.

But just goes to show that almost no coach is safe and you're only as good as, say, your last 10 games.

Geesh, who is actually going to attend the games in New Jersey?

I can't believe they fired a coach as successful as B Scott, he should have a job by the end of the week.

Mathematically speaking, with soooo many coaches getting canned, a guy with two rings will pretty much be FORCED to coach again before too long.

I imagine Scott will get another chance at some point, too.

The NBA is in hell, here, folks.

I can't believe it, but I'm not NJ...He took them from nothing to back-to-back finals appearances....Blah blah Jason Kidd, he's only one player and look how there doing now...Change is always good, but I think they'll be worse off...

I think Scott got a bum deal. It does lessen the team in my own personal favorability rating at least temporarily.

Once they are the Brooklyn Nets then they will be my second favorite team, unless they have players like Kobe, Pau Gasol, and etc. on their team.

Do all of you really know how much of the past success was Eddie Jordan rather than Scott?

JVG leaves the Rockets in the off-season to go to Brooklyn.

    Rudy-T back to the bench.
