Holy **** . It's basically one year guaranteed if the info is correct . All of this haggling for 2 mil more dollars at the cost of incredible team control potential if Dmo remains healthy . The back is a crazy thing . One never knows if it's going to break down or stay strong .
Brown is out. He's been the guy in the suit for the last couple games while Wiltjer has been suited up.
Finally people can put to rest dmo would command easily $10 mil+. Whether or not the rockets decide to match I'm glad this will finally be over in the next couple of days. Everyone can move on
actually nevermind. We lose the ability to cut him in the summer if we need the space, vs Morey's original offer.
This was before I realized that it was only 1 year guaranteed. My post was referring to next year's cap hit.
you know what's funny though is that if DMo ends up in Brooklyn methinks he has to pay that state income tax to the tune of 8.82% which is about $865K for that $9.8 million. Which means that his agent made him hold out for basically $650,000 Spoiler
That is absolutely true. The other question is what happens to Nene and Harrell PT(also long term with Harrell)? I would say Dekker, but he play full time SF and some PF.
Well I would love for Nene to slide into the Mutombo (in case of emergency, break glass) role and split those minutes between Harrell and DMo while also giving DMo Dekker's minutes at PF while giving Dekker all of Brewer's minutes at the SF. I think all around that makes the team stronger and deeper. Also, with that depth, you can change it up when a matchup calls for it. Go small when you need to go small, go big when you need to go big, have a plan when players get in foul trouble.
Well, that article was correct. Only one year guaranteed! This is from Woj himself: "The contract delivers the ability to void the final two years of the contract, as well as an opportunity to bail on the second season before the end of the 2016-17 season, league sources told The Vertical."
Reposting here: So wtf!? Did he sign that just cause he got scared when the Rockets pulled their offer?
It gets better: Only $5 million of the entire contract is guaranteed. Check this out, from Woj: "The offer sheet has Motiejunas earning $5 million upon the signing of the contract, and the team has to decide by Jan. 10 whether to pay him another $3.5 million for the remainder of the 2016-17 season, league sources said." So really, only half a season is guaranteed. Dayum. Time to get a new agent, DMo.
That is a great plan. I do feel Nene should be emergency case and an everyday bench big and provide relief if Ryan is cold. I hope D'Antoni thinks that way too. Also, bench Brewer.
