How does that help the Celtics? Lin's contract is the same length as of Rondo's, and Terence Jones's contract is basically the same length as Rondos as well. The Celtics will only save a little over $1 million per year with this trade and get a crappy future draft pick and low impact player (Jones)

JVG said it's the best starting lineup in basketball and a championship-caliber team, I fully agree. Some of you guys are ridiculous, KG and Pierce played a good season and are great additions.

I agree with JVG, but they really need to fill out the roster, and I'm not sure how they're going to do it.

82 games is a long season, and they have a number of older players. Their bench is currently Jason Terry, Marshon Brooks, and Miles Plumlee.

How much better is this Nets team than last year/year before's Boston team? KG and Pierce are a year older. Williams and Rondo are different, but I would say they are on similar level.

Joe Johnson is good, but no longer a difference maker. I'm curious to see if Brook Lopez starts playing defense with KG hounding him.

^Minor side-note: Brooks is gone, Reggie Evans stayed.

Looks like Lakers 2013 but the thing is there's no Kobe on that team. 4th-5th seed at best.

If we got Rondo it'd have to be Lin, Asik, multiple picks for Rondo.

Johnson and Lopez make them much better than what boston could run at you. AK-47 only makes them stronger.

    Williams / Terry
    Johnson / Brooks
    Pierce /
    Garnett / Kirilenko
    Lopez / Blatche

They should be pretty good. They were already 4th seed last year without adding half the Celtics team.

First the Gerald Wallace disaster and now this. Nets gave up their next 5+ years and gained nothing, same with Knicks. Both New York have had reaally bad front office guys for years, it's a shame.

The Nets gelled too late. Talentwise, they should have been the second or third best team in the East and faced the Heat in the conference finals instead of the 2nd round.

Anyway, I didn't think it's worth it to mortgage your future picks for the aging Garnett and Pierce.
