I'll be surprised if lebron doesn't go to the Nets in 2010... new city... new arena... in a big market... just think of lebron jersey sales and market value.

I agree. Tiger probably will get there first, even with him sitting out the rest of the season.

Big contract, huge market in NY and china (w/ Yi on the team), friendship with jayz and Devinharris, better city than cleveland. I think landing in NY and having China fanbase support adds way more money to LBJ's NJ contract than his max contract with cavs.

Just imagine if Yi puts up better numbers next two years i'm sure he will attract a billion Chinese fans after all china fans are getting tired of Yao after all those years and eagerly waiting for something fresh  .

Yeah. Isn't Tiger scheduled to become a billionaire in less than 2 years?

I say we start tampering with Durant ASAP since everyone knows Lebron is NY and NJ's dream signature. Let's let him know now with rich UT Alumni living near here he's our #1 guy to replace T-Mac unless he stays and takes a fat cut to where Durant still gets max money. :) Their games and physiques just remind me exactly of one an other. Then when possibly one or both the big city losers  of Lebron go after Durant all the way he'll know for fact they were thinking of him years ago and like us and he'll be taken care of in Houston.

Anyone against this? We missed a small chunk of T-Mac's best days in Orlando. :(

Even tho I know you were jokin around, Durant doesn't really give a damn about UT. Going into UT, he knew it was a year deal, and he didn't let the door hit him on the way out...

Ya, it's not like he was TJ Ford and a local product. He came from alot farther away and showcased every skill he had in as little time he had at UT.

I'm still completely serious about the comparison of a younger T-Mac. If he keeps developing and Seattle or OK City aren't exactly giving him a soft spot in the heart not knowing where he'll be playing, i'm dead serious on replacing T-Mac with him and he can finally figure out where to build a house.

Definitely I agree. I really don't see Lebron ditching Cavs that easily. I think Jersey needs to really get lucky with some picks in the next two years or Yi develops into a good player

Er...no, at least they went to the Finals relatively recently. Yea it was the East, blah blah, but results still matter.

Cleveland loves that man to death, he is an icon like I've never seen up there. But the team shot themselves in the foot by spending their allowances on assuaging the hold-outs of Pavlovic and Varejao, and these were mostly cosmetic solutions to the Cavalier's chemistry issues. They will have serious trouble keeping Lebron.

The article overplays the Nets role though. It's a no-brainer that they covet him, I mean who won't make a pitch at him in 2010? The clearing of capspace is less a direct Lebron move, and has more to do with a long-overdue roster gentrification of an underachieving squad. There is basketball to be played between then and now, and the Nets have alot to prove this year.

The most interesting part to me, was about Lebron soliciting a free agent partner out of Stoudamire or Bosh. I wonder how seriously they are taking that idea, because I'd say if they decide on a common destination, it won't matter if its in Memphis and nobody else even shows up because that is one intimidating duo right there.

Any body that says this is just for Lebron is a complete r****d.

Its not all about Lebron. Have you seen the FA that year? Its loaded!

Even if they don't land Lebron they'll get the most out of it.

Whatever major free agent signs with the Nets will have the biggest selling jersey in history. I predict Brooklyn alone will sell a million...

Do you think the Cavs will win a championship in the next two seasons?

I'd put serious money on LBJ going to the Brooklyn Nets

Right i believe we would win that war fairly easy if we was to somehow also take KVH off there hands and then trade him with someone just to get his contract off our hands.

I think they're clearing room to make sure they can keep CDR locked up long term. :p

Results matter, eh? They lost both trips to the finals. One of the times they got swept.

    FAIL
